Next gen consoles are going to be 8c/16t
which of those two cpus do you think will do better in a few years?

Anything above 120fps avg, lows and 0.1% lows is a perfect gaming processor.

The i5-9600Kek is powered by Jewish space magicks using a proprietary thalmud conning device.

8c/16t @ 2.5GHz < 4c/8t @ 5GHz

Only clinically retarded Intel fanboys buy their pozzed housefire garbage.

5 more years until new Intel uArch dumpsters AMD out of the CPU business

>has slight performance advantage in single thread performance reliant gaymes
>absolutely shits and pisses itself in any different scenario
>is more expensive

CSGO is such a retarded game to bench like this. A large % of players use fucking 4:3/4:3 stretched/16:10 letterboxed. No one gives a shit about the graphics.
Isn't there a point where extremely high framerates fucks up your game too?

Where did these live benches come from?

Once you go past 999 fps the source engine gets really weird
And yes anyone who actually plays cs does it at low resolutions like 1280x960 with all settings on low

imagine being this delusional

>"competitive" niggers
Nah, less than 1%, nobody cares.

10nm vs 3nm
nice cope there

>is more expensive
>9600k is actually much cheaper
You are not fooling anyone retard. This is not r/AMD

Intel 7nm will destory AMD in 2177, sir.

intel))))

cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-9400-vs-AMD-Ryzen-5-3600/m735306vs4040

Left side looks better.

But even with 7nm AMD is still behind lmao

That's it, I give up being an AMD supporter.
This is the THIRD iteration of their garbage and they STILL can't reach the level of 5 year old Intel products.
It's Bulldozer all over again with memecores.

I just don't understand why it matters so much to people. I play vidya on a laptop with a 1920x1080@120Hz display, i7-8750H and a 6GB GTX 1060. I get my full 120FPS in everything but Bethesda games where the physics engine is inexplicably attached to the framerate where the game shits the bed above 60FPS, so I don't really care. As long as my hardware can run games at my max resolution at the max framerate, the fuck does it matter who makes my processor? Like seriously, what's the goddamn difference?

Based

>Single thread performance reliant games

Aka "every single game"

imagine being so pozzed in the head that you think intel 9th gen cpus are an improvement over 6th gen cpus
if anything rocket lake and 10nm on desktop will be bulldozer all over again

idiots who don't really have the hardware waging a proxy war with their dicks.

Like if they were really confident about their 9600K, they wouldn't be insecure enough to post, and play instead.

That being said, I'm excited about the 3600, I don't really really care about anything but my VM's and Programming.

>250+ fps
Why are you fags arguing

this very much
I love my 9600K, I got it new and mad cheap but I have nothing against AMD because they make great products which expands my future options. Fucking autists ruining this board and /pcbg/, I swear.

Imagine not being able to emulate it anywhere as fast on amd.

is no one going to say that both images are identical except for the fps that is photoshopped in? same kills, ammo, blood, etc.

yeah. If not for them, the 9600K would probably still be the same 4c/4t shit that every i5 was before Ryzen.

it's just tribalistic retards

the only reason i want both manufacturers to be competitive is to force Intel to release good CPUs in order to compete. competition is NEEDED otherwise intel/amd will just rerelease the same CPUs as long as their opponent doesn't catch up (exactly what intel did when AMD started shitting the bed with bulldozer)

jfc get on the bus, gramps

source engine is the most outdated single-threaded garbage in existence.

if you multithread the game's most intensive calculations (which people have done) not only does fps boost over 35% but it'd blow intel out of the water.

There is only one game I want to know about, but nobody ever benchmarks it
Modded Arma is literally the reason I'm upgrading my CPU, some of AI mods are mad taxing

Attached: 980_509513071.jpg (980x360, 72K)

Same.

>if you multithread the game's most intensive calculations (which people have done) not only does fps boost over 35% but it'd blow intel out of the water.
source?

Use headless clients with dedicated server.

See Doom engine. 8600k only wins with 3600mhz RAM.

Attached: AMD_Ryzen_5_2600_X470_Benchmarks_08.jpg (720x567, 220K)

>userbenchmark

>See Doom engine. 8600k only wins with 3600mhz RAM.
The Intel CPUs probably have high latencies, and low latency on the ryzens.

It's just that some game engines are good while others are absolute trash, in far cry you can't even reach 144 fps unless you lower the quality drastically.

Attached: FC5.png (1314x1192, 51K)

>JUST WAIT

Still doesn't meant that the benchmark testers didn't

Why is 8600k above 8700k? 8700k has higher clocks + HT?

Intel's HT can be really fucked in some games.

Holy shit the intel part is getting destroooyyyeeed lmao

Attached: Annotation 2019-06-27 151714.png (1039x403, 398K)

>they keep comparing a 1300 dolla cpu to the entry level memezen 3
>jewtel barely wins
>h-ha ha guys, intel wins again

Just imagine the next threadrippers guys. Jewtel is fucking FINISHED

>AMDs giant flagship has just 10 more FPS than a mid-tier intel chip
OH NO NO NO NO NO NO AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA

E3

>in a few years
try this year, 9600 is already shit in multi-threaded games, few fps difference in ancient game running at 250+fps is a joke

show me 3 monitors that have a refresh rate higher than 275hz

Attached: hmm no.png (771x686, 77K)

Actual retard.

delusional

>1440 ultra "cpu" benchmark

Cs go has input lag tied to fps

>Be 3kTW fans
>Recommended specs: 8700k
>Looked at AMD upcoming release
>Thats 3700x level of performance
>Looked at 3700x price
>The new 3 series of the same tier cpu is costing as much as a 2 year old Intel cpu

source is a bit autistic, your frametimes are lower on higher framerates.

>patches disabled
nothing personnel

Not just source, higher framerates means less input lag in general

>his gpu is the bottleneck on any settings in csgo
kek

Consoles have been using 8 cores for two generations and nothing has changed.

This. Anyone deluding themselves that this time it will be totally different is just that, delusional.
Maybe in a decade things will be different but any current gen CPU, Intel AMD or RISC-V will long since have been discarded into the trash by then.

t. 2012

Attached: ACO_1080p.png (1328x1222, 53K)

Games can use even 12 threads now and probably even more.

Attached: SotTR_1080p.png (1328x1222, 53K)

>Both screens have the same killfeed

>prices based on tabloid article rumors

This is just the beginning, games will get even more multithreaded in the future.

Attached: Division_1080p.png (1328x1222, 50K)

can you imagine the cope on this one?

Yeah and shit literally hasn't changed since then. By and large 4 cores/threads still is the norm in gaming. Some are able to use 6 or 8 but those are outliers. And before you even start I can cherry pick games from 2012 too that also could use more than 4 cores/threads and it still doesn't change reality.

It could be a demo replay, which is better than running two completely different matches

Enjoy your stutters.

Attached: 1554170135995.jpg (598x792, 72K)

A stutter is not caused by a processor, only a misbehaving driver. Jitter can be caused by the processor, as the OS does a shit job of scheduling threads. An Intel processor will have less jitter due to monolithic architecture and low memory latency.

>Gaming
Take your shit to /v/

If you use CS:GO as an example of anything other than ultra low end cores like Athlon 2xx/3xx or Celeron procs you really need to rethink the fuck you're arguing

Yeah I too would rather have another thread like these totally tech related threads™

fish and baitpilled

Nice try faggot shill
youtube.com/watch?v=gUNAvkY6Ops

So pretty much just shitty coding because they did not expect the game to scale up to faster hardware.

This. It's fucking ridiculous. You're playing games for fuck sake.

These guys have no fucking shame.

I have a 60 HZ monitor idgaf

Attached: smug_asuka.png (517x483, 215K)

Do any of these cpus even come close to my ancient 8700k in terms of gaming? Never had a single problem in games, only thing ever to hold me back was my GPU.

Attached: f6df30261180a378198d4d530ffa17fb.jpg (500x414, 23K)

>CSGO as a benchmark

This cant be real, it HAS to be a shoop. I have nothing against AMD, but who the hell benchmarks an old game like CSGO?

Attached: =-=.jpg (1181x1679, 1.41M)

intel, which is the whole point of the exercise

Someone who wants to show off IPC improvements using a singlethreaded workload.

They have identical performance if you factor margin of error.

CPUs have become meaningless for CS:S since Core 2 and Phenom II came along. Nehalem/Sandy Bridge did the same for GS:GO .

A goddamn Pentium/Athon can effortlessly run CS:GO.

Anything above 100FPS is pure placebo non-sense. You are at the complete mercy of the netcode gods.

Haha, exactly!

Nope. At best they might match it

Attached: 1560205086482.png (2470x1265, 1.63M)

Anyone could agree with you here because ST could always just finish its work twice as fast and then switch to the next task.
But that's not what Intel is offering at all in contrast to AMD.
It's used to show limited thread performance in games. It's not a modern engine. It's also a very popular game. It makes sense to use to show certain aspects.

Who in 2019 still cares about shooter games for delinquents? Are you a delinquent, OP?

yeah some real delinquents right here

Attached: 1546196569496.png (1127x240, 421K)

Cheers, guess i won't upgrade for another 2-3 years at best.

fuck off Valve shill

F * (2C + T) defines the performance.
8c/16t @ 2.5GHz:
>2.5 * (2*8 + 16) = 80

4c/8t @ 5GHz:
> 5 * (2*4 + 8) = 80

Therefore they both perform the same on multicore.

>8750H
>1060
> 120 fps on Full HD
I doubt it, unless you're talking about medium settings.

there are none in consumer market

>intel dindu nuffin

from what I heard it was game where intel had big advantage and amd showed that advantage is gone, intel shill had to go through whole presentation to find some screen where intel had some fps advantage and fagot op cherrypicked it for his shill thread, I have some understanding for people buying 9700k, but 9600k is the choice for idiots and only total retards will buy it after r3000 launch

>16GB DIMM DDR4 clocked @ 4266 MHz
You are retarded
