No, it's residential ADSL. It seems like OP got fucked over by Openreach's shoddy infrastructure most likely.

I've had an unmetered GPON 100/100 connection for €20 for ages now.
It never changes speed or latency and is always 95/95mbits on speedtest (as for all users of that ISP) with 0-3ms ping to servers within 500km.

The ISP now unfortunately merged with Vodafone and now they offer new contracts only with P2P fiber up to 500/120 with a significantly worse infrastructure.

$20 or so. That's across the Europe. If I were to select local server that would be 400/400. Selecting local doesn't really show the actual speeds.

You have no idea. My FEC count on my router is like, 23 million (in nearly two days).

>all that speed and can't torrent anime with it

It airs on TV there. Why would you need to?

I have seedbox to torrent anime if needed. Btw it went full speed (50-60 Mb/s) on http-download from seedbox to local hdd.

I was going to brag about my country but then I realized that I don't want people moving here. Keep your thread and your expensive internet.

Damn, I really wanted to move to your shithole country just for a better internet connection.

NOT

oh petah

Attached: petah.jpg (300x168, 11K)

how

DSLreports local servers wont connect for me, there are a dozen closer servers and none work, so fuck it. Top speeds aren't ideal, and ping is higher than what it normally would be. But still decent buffer bloat.

Stolen from boomer neighbors

They changed it a few times over the years but I just took a ladder and disconnected their outdoor WiFi "security camera". The cam saves everything to an SD card, I deleted the night's video file and dumped everything including some file containing the WiFi password.

Frontier FiOS?

Yup.

Yeah, sucks Verizon decided to shaft you guys and essentially give up on everything but the north east.

Verizon FiOS deployed 1gbps in 2017 and are doing backhaul upgrades to NG-PON2 for multi gigabit connections in 2020+.

I still have the Verizon modem from before they sold it.

Frontier swapped out some of their hardware at one point and it took me months of bitching and an eventual visit from a manager to get a packet loss problem fixed.

god i hate talktalk so fucking much

Sounds like a real shit show.

Though Verizon does shit like this

So they're not exactly a fantastic company either I guess.
