You can do this on every machine ever if you have physical access retard

If you're making something like ransomware, you're far more likely to be successful targeting windows.
If you target linux servers you'll just get flashed back to a saved image in cold storage and lose a few hours/a day of progress as the sysadmin.
If you target an Apple user they'll just throw away the computer and spend that $1500 ransom on a new macbook and restore files from cloud storage instead.
