The only problem with KDE is it just has no taste. It has absolutely no taste. And I don't mean that in a small way; I mean that in a big way.

I may be wrong since i personally don't use it, so.correct me if I am, but isn't a major part of KDE customizability? So while the defaults may be shit, because programmers aren't good UI designers, you can make it look as tasteful as you want.

Gnome has taste, it just isn't a very good one.

That's been my experience so far. Most of the defaults are pretty horrible, but once I got a nice theme, changed a bunch of shortcuts, and added a few plugins, it became the best desktop environment I've ever used. It just takes time.

KDE is the most based DE, but I'll be the first to admit discover is garbage (but so is gnome-software). Elementary OS's store is alright but it's also lacking in features and extensibility. CLI is the truly patrician path for package management.
