Anybody else work in a Datacenter? what do you guys do in your spare time?

I work solo graveyard shift at a City Government NOC and do at most 45 minutes of real work in a 12 hour shift while waiting for any alarms to come in.

I'm running out of shit to watch on netflix and I've beaten anything worth playing on my switch.

Get a plastic guitar and start grinding guitar hero, customs can be pretty fun on an uneventful job where you're left without anything to do 90% of the time

Learn to play a small musical instrument like flute, learn a new language, read books

Yes, there's lots of new and useful and enjoyable stuff you could be doing, instead of twiddling your thumbs watching TV or playing gaymes, waiting to die

Make a game and sell it on steam

Read some books

Hey OP!
Hit up the netadmin department and he will send you a port to ssh so you can play on the secret tuxcart server we got runnin.

Also stop eating my lunch.

sneed

How do I get your job, that sounds like heaven.

It sounds like heaven until some shit breaks and half of your monitoring system turn red and you company starts loosing huge amounts of money each minute. And it all depends on you.

Learn Japanese and watch anime without subs.

Did you try to masturbate?

So how long until you're replaced by sandeep rajakumar that does the same, at 1/4 of the cost?

He is more likely to be replaced by automation.

I worked in a datacenter in high school and I think I literally did 0 actual work ever. I got trained a bunch and then I'm pretty sure I literally did nothing except be present. played videogames the whole time. wish I studied though.

start small online business and learn Python
tank me later

This. Best you can hope for is that it happens after you already made a lot of money and had your fun

after you got it all out of your system, learn to code / web develop

have sex

This. You can work remotely from your current work in your spare time.

Im doing this slowly, working Helpdesk at the moment and theres some weeks with alot of downtime.

But besides webdev shit my work also has me training for MSCA Server 2016. and Im also interested in getting my Sec+

Feels like alot on my plate but Ill get there eventually

Study for IT certifications to escape this shit life you’ve built for yourself. With all that free time you could conquer the word. The last thing I would be doing is watching fucking Netflix.

>it has logic errors too
Fucking kek

yes, I get so bored and do a quick fap everytime I go to the restroom

I have a similar job at the City. Our net admin blocks netflix, so I have to remote into my home computer to watch movies.

Our city has a smoking room and a gym and a kitchen so it's not that bad.

>python
lol

Until a machine can physically replace drives, NICs, RAID cards, or entire physical rack mount devices, dead UPSs , My job is safe.

How do I get a comfy job like this?

Look at Indeed for Datacenter/NOC Technician jobs, most are entry level.

I gather the IT folk at the European commission have a well stocked porn server for these kind of situations

What kind of degree did you get for that job? Newfag in Jow Forums and not sure what I wanna do in life.

You faggots have the worst taste, I swear. You all autistically screech over the most stupid shit, but anything good is brought up, and you faggots have to shit it up. Fucking double digit IQ autist. Kill yourself.

Are job interviews really that easy? I refuse to believe that
