good luck getting your first job. the market is completely saturated with people. it's only a good job market for those who have 5+ years of experience.

The other thing people tend to forget is that this shit only really works with real science data (for which you'd also, you know, need to be a real fucking scientist for) or in areas where there have been literally 4 decades of applied research in historical data tracking and reporting (BI and data warehousing).

If you don't have one of those as a starting point, I don't know how you could ever get into the field. I don't know where you'd find enough data to have examples of problems you've solved to begin showing people that you know what you're talking about.

I don't think this is too feasible. To make anything useful in data science, you'd need to have:
1. A very large data set
2. Specialized knowledge of the data set's field of study
3. An understanding of how to, from that data, find a solution to a problem that you know is a reasonable problem to solve

Good luck finding something like that out of nowhere. People don't want to see graphs of stuff from small data sets that don't solve a problem. You can do shit like that in Excel and proves nothing.
