CPUs based on current pricing:
>Athlon 200GE - HTPC, web browsing, bare minimum gaming
>R3 2200G - Light 30-60fps gaming(dGPU optional).
>R5 2600 - Good 60fps+ gaming CPU; great value
>R5 3600 - midrange; good for all but the absolute highest end GPUs
>R9 3900X/3950X - High end; highest FPS

>Intel CPUs are now defunct. Even used i7 workstations are no longer worthwhile due to vulnerabilities and related performance regression

RAM:
>Do not use a single DIMM. 2 sticks is the only recommendation for a typical dual channel CPU
>CPUs benefit from fast RAM; 3200CL16 minimum
>AMD B & X chipsets and Intel Z chipsets support XMP

Graphics cards based on current pricing:
1080p
>RX 570/580 8GB - Can be found on sale for cheap. Look for 570s which are >1240MHz boost
>GTX 1660 - higher fps or for more demanding games
>RX 5700 - high framerates (requires complementary CPU and monitor)
1440p
>RX 5700 - 75-100fps+ in most games
>RX 5700 XT - Higher framerates
>2080ti - Highest possible frames, but poor value
2160p (4K)
>5700 XT Overclocked - budget option
>RTX 2080Ti - best for 4K but expensive
OpenGL on Windows
>Nvidia

never even heard of that game, post a game I actually play

t. ascended cope

what's better bros
overclocked 9700k (about 4.9ghz)
3700x (overclocked to the best of amds capability lol)

both watercooled with a 360 rad

>3700X sucks at overclocking
it's not fair bros

Can go up to 2500€ for the tower, I dont have a real limit honestly, I just want it to be worth the investment for 4+ years at least
>>Post at least some attempt at a parts list
I tried this before last week before all those new release ( pcpartpicker.com/user/kslyde/saved/#view=4qLwhM ), I know its garbage, first try building something. Dont know really the limit of each part so its hard making something exploiting the advantage and weakness of every parts
>>List your uses, e.g. Gaming, Video Editing, VM Work
Mainly Gaming and Streaming.
>>For monitors, include purpose (e.g., photoediting, gaming) and graphics card pairing (if applicable)
I didnt research about monitor yet but I intend to get 3 monitors 27'. 4k doesnt interest me, 1440 is what I aim at.

Thanks for the help!

5700 aib fucking when?

(observed)
Wendell from L1 basically equates AMD's 4.6 to Intel's 5.0.

Oh wow. I'm wondering if AMD showing this too wouldn't be better.

wtf how
9900k best for gaymen my ass what a scam

How do I deal with the pain bros...

FUCK you MSI

>>R9 3900X/3950X - High end; highest FPS
This is contradicted by the image you chose for the OP.

It still runs cool and quiet apparently. Magic I assume.

Feels good bros.

okay

Attached: Screenshot_20190707-080937.jpg (1920x1080, 634K)

It's just one game.

Get 9900k instead and 3200cl14 ram
2080ti will be best for a while if you can afford it. Else wait for 2080 super which is out in a couple of days

How much does the CPU matter for higher FPS 1080p gaming? I'm gonna get a 240hz and don't care about higher resolutions whatsoever. Currently sitting on 6700K

Attached: 1562384243373.png (1280x720, 879K)

>those lows from Intel

Matters quiet a bit there.

I'm going to buy a Ryzen 3700X since it shits on the Intel CPUs (I don't play games), but where the fuck can I buy them? (UK) and which motherboard/RAM do I pair it with?

does anyone know how returning multiple parts to amazon works? I've returned a processor, RAM, a GPU, a case fan and an SSD. They all came in one package so I returned them in one package obviously. So far I've only gotten a refund on the RAM. Do I have to wait until the other items get back to the warehouses they came from before I receive refunds for those?

Attached: proxy.duckduckgo.com.jpg (500x500, 37K)

just gotta wait friend, surely you can last up to a week in your current hell

WHERE ARE THE PLACES TO BUY NAVI
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Attached: 1534832567953.png (500x610, 42K)

Is now a good time to upgrade or is there anything major on the horizon? Last time I checked there was the whole hullabaloo over the intel speculative execution exploits so I put it off again.

RX 590 or GTX 1660?
Both at the same price

Attached: 1556148529144.png (500x610, 40K)

if you really want the just wait recipe then zen 2+ probably next year Q1/2

9900K or 3900X? I only game and emulate, also make memes.

I was kinda hoping to order today, is it known when they will become available? I know RTX Super is available on the 9th so I don't mind waiting till then

Attached: 1551721692686.png (1000x562, 305K)

WHY DOESN'T AMAZON HAVE THE FUCKING PROCESSORS IN STOCK
IT'S FUCKING 7/7 YOU BEZOS FUCKING FAGGOT

>bought 3733 CL17 RAM before my other parts because AMD said it was optimal
>turns out Infinity Fabric goes into 2:1 mode above 3600 MHz instead of 3733
god fucking damn it

Attached: 1545264973141.png (1280x720, 666K)

3900X

Reviews agree upon it being loud on high load, though some call the sound "not uncomfortable" or "less annoying than oem vega"

why would you do him like that, user.

Probably sold out

look for 3800x benchmarks. most games probably won't use all 12 cores and it's cheaper than the 3900x.

you can manually OC fclk to 1900MHz so it'll run at 1:1 with up to 3800MHz RAM

3733 is still 1:1

Attached: f5ZO5ZH.png (945x1562, 208K)

wasnt there some security problem with intel ?

OH NO NO NO NO
What happened to R5 3600 = i9 9900k?

Are you fucking serious? Where are you getting this information?

Attached: ryzen3900vsintel.png (945x1251, 168K)

Still need to buy a CPU for my build, not planning to OC
3600 (w/ Wraith Stealth) £190
3600X (w/Wraith Spire) £240
3700X (w/ Wraith Prism) £320

posted in the last thread

if you're not going to OC but don't mind footing the premium always go with the X
since there's no 3700 non-X though...

>tfw you scored an 8700k last november for 300 bucks

Oh, you just have to configure it manually. That's fine.

Sup guys. I have a computer with 1GB integrated graphic chip.

What would happen if I installed a cheap 2GB graphics card? Would the two things add up or would my computer only end up using one of them?

Any answer is much appreciated.

Attached: 00a.png (300x300, 201K)

WHERE THE FUCK IS THE 3900X IN STOCK

REEEEEEEEEEEEEE

lol

Attached: 1562514044816.png (1679x835, 505K)

Is the 3700x /our cpu/

So would you pick 3600X or 3700X?

Bit worried about how good the coolers are

Still stupid though, they should've specified that in their slides

>that slow ass 99th percentile
Lol

The 2GB on the gpu would only be utilized in games.

I got MSI B350 gaming pro, which Zen 2 that I can get so it won't melt itself when I OC'd it?

Blame Windows' scheduler

Is there anything similar to the ncase M1 for mATX builds? I'm looking for something with high space efficiency and no gamer side windows.

Attached: proxy.duckduckgo.com.jpg (750x750, 181K)

Now you get more for your money, MORE loading times, high is better.

Attached: navi loading issues.jpg (1607x907, 257K)

Attached: Screenshot_20190707-104348.jpg (1920x1080, 425K)

No no you fags cant blame windows every time amd gimps a memory controller

why does it feel like zen2 is probably not the best that AMD could've come up with and that this is merely the 2 year prelude to the next gen that would do better in single core performance?

just wait 5 years when fine wine™ kicks in

Your PC would only use the card you added. Also don't fall for the old meme of more VRAM is automatically better, if your "cheap 2GB graphics card" is something like a GT 730 it's going to be almost as shite as the integrated GPU you're using now.

pcpartpicker.com/list/JDxwNQ

I already have a 1080Ti and an SSD and all.
PC will be used for:
>Machine learning, statistical analysis on large datasets.
>Streaming
>Gaming at 165Hz 1440p
As it is, these parts are a bit too expensive for me. What compromise will I see if i go from 3900X to 3700X?
Also can't I just get an X470? X570 is very expensive and I don't need PCIe4.
And is there any advantage of using 4x8 RAM vs 2x16 RAM?

Attached: 1555809854555.jpg (620x465, 27K)

Can you use 5700/5700XT on PCI-E 3.0?
Is there performance loss if so?

>3700X exactly 20 FPS slower than 9900K
>3900X exactly 70 FPS faster than the 3700X
Huh? Why so much of a difference

>The 2GB on the gpu would only be utilized in games.

I don't need it for games. I need it for blender. Is it impossible for graphic chip and graphic card to work together? Like when 2 graphic cards work together.

I don't know the answer but I am bumping up your post cute girl

I don't know amazon. Never order there.
But contacting them and being concerned doesn't hurt. They're the best people to ask obviously.

How hot is 3900x temperature?
Will it run on higher watt like 9900k?

I'd like to see this over price.

What about emulation performance?????

iGPUs don't have their own RAM. That 1GB would sip from the system RAM if it needs it.

The 2GB card would have it's own VRAM, and you'd relieve pressure on your system RAM.

...

emugen is still resisting, wait until the actual productive part of the emulation community does some tests.

however it should all be improved on AMD given its closeness to Intel
