Remember when there used to be tv shows showcasing new developments in science and technology? What happened to that? Now it's just youtubers peddling their latest sponsors

It seems nobody believes in science anymore. Everyone pretends to be some sort of woke conspiracy theorist. It's really pathetic how you can just post a video on youtube, claiming virtually anything, and it's guaranteed to sucker in a bunch of retards.

This thread reminds me of Computer Chronicles. It was a super comfy show. I can only recommend it to get that late 20th century tech feel. All the episodes are uploaded on YouTube and archive.org.

that shit was also all sponsored content don't fucking start

That is true. It was advertisement.

maybe if you looked at better YouTube channels you wouldn't say that stupid shit at the end of your post
they're not on TV anymore because TV is a dead medium

Younger generations don't care about science and technology.
They only want the latest iToys without having to learn anything.

There are still some good YT channels but they make zero money.

>Mr. Wizard's World
>Popular Mechanics For Kids
>Bill Nye The Science Guy
>Beakman's World
>Electronic Playground
>The Lab with Leo Laporte
>Attack Of The Show

I miss g4 xplay for games :/
I've always wanted a new tv startup for gaming / new tech that isn't just youtube shills.

daily reminder that pic related is absolutely god-tier and a lot of full episodes are available on youtube

technology starts out being for nerds until there's a commercial use (internet) and the next step was social media, where everyone became breathing adverts
(look at hobbyists on youtube from 10 years ago vs now with every video being sponsored by a vpn, squarespace, skillshare, audible, etc)

Nobody except for Boomers even watches TV anymore, hence why all of the technology showcasing occurs on youtube.

well modern leftist post-modernism hit and tossed all the age of enlightenment science progress right into the trash.

you can't even science gender these days anymore

Making nonsense up and lying is what school and science is all about.
Of course people are easily duped when they're lied to their whole lives.

Technologically inclined people don't watch the teevee anymore

You're never going to get it. G4 screwed the pooch hard after buying and gutting TechTV. Then they went ahead and became The Cheaters Network after faffing about with the formula for too long. Even if they didn't fuck those two things up, the rise of streaming content, unless they secured some nice e-sports promos, would probably have done them in.

It was a bygone product from a bygone time. You're better off rewatching old X-Play skits, because that was about all the channel had going for it after 2005.

All those great shows
