Thoughts on Vivaldi?

I love its features and all, but slightly paranoid about privacy/spying.
I've been using Ungoogled Chromium for a while, but I miss some of the features.
What are your honest thoughts on this browser?

It's another Chromium fork, so it's useless.

based
Vivaldi is the best of all chromium-based browsers. (also reminder that Google Chrome is the worst of them)

How's the privacy and etc?

Seethe harder, firefags.

He looks like me so yes, I trust him.

>Mozilla Firefox - Spyware Level: High
>Vivaldi - Spyware Level: Medium
Huh, so it's even better than Trannyfox.

OP here.
Good site. Didn't know of it, thanks.
Doesn't seem extremely bad, but could be better.
Anyone think the features and no need to manually update extensions?

my to go browser

Love it for work, I could watch streams in the sidebar

how do people keep falling for this bait?

explain

Some of the information is not even accurate, for vivaldi building from the source code works fine and its also quite outdated.

The best performing browser on linux, and actually has useful features. The ability to natively stack tabs is a godsend for organizing pages instead of seeing them side-by-side.

plz sage shill threads

>ungoogled chromium and stable

I've been using it for quite a while now & love it.
It has great features, uses chrome extensions, lots of settings, very stable.

Can't really answer the privacy question because I don't know & haven't researched that aspect; but on the other hand, it's getting very hard to have privacy and not data mining in today's digital world.

As I said in my post, I used it before and I LOVE the features it has. I'm truly a poweruser, and the features it has.

>it's getting very hard to have privacy and not data mining in today's digital world
This is true, sadly.
It's not like I do anything too bad on my computer, but I just like to have privacy.
Might just say fuck it and use Vivaldi again. Who knows.

true, nowadays if you want to do something you have to trade off functionality, they make data a trade rather than a option

I like its features but I switched to Brave because it offers better privacy and its open source as well.

Is this the browser that has a side bar that can't be removed?

proprietary

You can hide the side bar with F4 or with the button to hide it

Isn't there still a little pane left though? With a button to re-expand it?

I'd love to use vivaldi because I was an operafag until the chinks gobbled it up and I think Vivaldi is the old opera crew right?

>chrome with additional spyware
You can get sidebars on many browsers and pretend to be using Opera. Why use this one despite the privacy concerns?

this describes me too. i kinda miss it desu

Even on ssd it feels slower than rest

the fastest on my lap is ms edge [chromium] and dissenter browser [literally just popped my eyes, it's fast and light like I never expected]
