Attached: gtx260unclean.jpg (4128x3096, 2.99M)

did you snort the dried up thermal paste

It really was the 560ti, everyone fucking had one. (Me included, first graphics card I evee bought).

*Sip*
Yup. Programmable shaders. Those were the days.

Attached: card2.jpg (800x600, 225K)

does it still work?

Had an evga 8800GTX, it broke down after like three or four years and I was sent a GTX 260 as a replacement.

Man you're making me feel old and I'm 22. The first card I bought was a 9800 gt, but the family PC had an 8 series something, and I definitely remember us having an AGP card at some point.

anyone else have the 1792mb version?

Surprised that something stupid like this got released recently.

The PNY GeForce 6600 was my first graphics card. I'm 23, I remember going to CompUSA with my dad to buy it. I then upgraded to the EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 512MB. Those were the days.

You had a graphics card when you were 2?

MAKI!!

Only poorfag brainlets got jewed into the 560Ti meme. The 6950 could be unlocked into a 6970 and used to mine buttcoins.

School had these in high school, they had the specs printed on the inside of the door covering the disc drive so if you opened it up you could see what the specs were and log in with one of the 1.42GHz instead of the 700MHz ones. Ran Doom and Cube 2 like a champ.

Attached: 02emac_3q[1].jpg (1600x1064, 119K)

it was not the newest thing out there i was 7 when i got it, at least i was able to run unreal tournament

Radeon 9800 XT. A killer card for its time.

Attached: 1561892909447.jpg (512x320, 82K)

23 as well and my first GPU was a FX 5500 (2003). Also a total piece of shit, even for the time. Upgraded to another pos 7300 GS after a couple years which could barely run bf2 at 1280x1024

Attached: 14-143-015-01.jpg (640x480, 37K)

bruh my secong gpu was the amd radeon 9200 by arround 2003 too, the fx 5500 was so much better i think

sorry i meant Ati radeon

my favorite card

Fuck yeah

SLI isn't even a thing nowadays

My first big independently funded gpu.

I thought I was such a baller with this blacked out all metal evga card. My evga 2080ti isn’t even built as well as this was.

This used to be my setup back in 2011.
Two GTX 480s, oced to the wall. Would tear up in Battlefield Bad Company 2 with these two bad boys non stop.

Jesus Christ I'm getting old. Whenever I think back it almost feels like it was yesterday but it's years ago now.

Forgot pic.

yall need to meet my ultimate g80 card
the quadro fx 5600

I bet you could sli those bad boys — fire up CAD and work like a son’uv’a’bitch

its effecitvely an 8800 ultra with 1.5gb of vram
there is a 3rd party driver ive seen before but havent used myself that lets you SLI them on certain nvidia chipsets but i dont think they have normal support for SLI

>normal support for SLI
No, there is not a connector on top... but they can SLI through the PCIe bus.

I've still got my GeForce 6200 AGP card in a box somewhere along with some Pentium 4 and an aopen motherboard to go along with it. All still working too.

Remember when revealing the juicy board itself was enough of a badass look? I do, I wish I owned one of these bad boys, and I pray to god we have a 3dfx revival.

Attached: 3daccelcards.jpg (1133x852, 532K)

my parents bought one similar to that in like 2005. good times

There is on mine

EVGA GTX 8800 KO ACS3?

Beautiful card, had the chance to own one when I was busy collecting various 8800 GTX and Ultra cards. G80 was a paradigm shifting architecture.

Damn I remember how sexy GPUs looked back when specially XFX

There is an SLI connector, and software that lets you SLI it even when its not supposed to.

Look for it in tech power up forums.

iktf bro. Unfortunately, I can't find my Twin Frozr. I just replaced them a couple of months ago. It's honestly a bit depressing how well they lasted. They didn't really get solidly outclassed by a single mid-range card until the RX480 six years later, and that might as well still be a current-gen card three years after that.

Attached: 20190707_235013.jpg (2257x1207, 1.63M)

I had a 5450 back in 2013, when I had to switch because I bought another card I noticed that the stock gpu in my mobo was as good as the 5450, I felt memed out.

>almost nobody posting the radeon hd series despite it's superiority at the time

I had a 1090t and crossfire 6870s well into 2016

>iktf bro. Unfortunately, I can't find my Twin Frozr. I just replaced them a couple of months ago. It's honestly a bit depressing how well they lasted.
So many feels. I sold my 480s on overclock.net and hardforum if I remember right. Bought 580 Lightning and Classified few months later and that held me over till I got GTX 780. I used to buy and sell so much computer hardware, one of the ways I was able to upgrade graphics cards several times a year.

i had two of these side by side when i quit school, had runescape barely running on one and a web browser on the other

I wish I still had a pic of it but the first pc i ever built was a bit of a meme and I still remember the specs like the back of my hand
>cooler master CM stacker 830 case with bundled 1000w 80+ psu
>evga nforce 780i SLI motherboard
>intel core 2 quad q6600
>zalman 92mm ball of razor sharp copper fins CPU cooler
>2x PNY 9800gtx+'s in SLI
>2x 150GB 10000 rpm wd raptor hdds in RAID 0 (1 had the window in it)
>4 gigs of dominator platinum ddr2 RAM@ 1066 MHz
>2 DVD drives
>5.25" fan controller for the 7 cheap blue led fans i threw in it
>windows vista ultimate (64 bit!)

Attached: 420_big_01.jpg (1200x990, 485K)

Why does that look like an HD wojak.

I know I'm a retard fag, but this was one of my favourite cards. Managed to pull through until the day it died 2 years ago.
Amazing how far you can take a card on the linux meme.

Attached: 4870.jpg (800x600, 71K)

Only last month I was using a xfx 680ilt with a q6700, 4gb of ram and a GTx 260. I've since worked upto a FX 8320 and 2 gtx 550ti in sli.

I used this guy about a year ago , it's sitting at my workplace right now. Had to replace some caps on it , ran like a champ after that.
I wonder how crazy our setup would've been back in the day , two 4-core 3ghz+ Xeons and god knows how much ram

Yes

I was gonna buy one of these in 2009 paired with a P6T Deluxe and 920 i7, but instead went for a pair of 4870 Dark Knight cards

I miss it bros

am autistic and keep pics of old tech I used to have for this very purpose.

First GPU I ever bought, an nvidia FX5200. $99 at bestbuy, which was a fucking ripoff at the time but I didn't know any better.

Attached: PNY FX5200.jpg (640x360, 52K)

moved from the 5200 to an ATI 9600 XT a year later. This allowed me to play FFXI. I had wanted to very badly, and was crushed when my 5200 wouldn't let it boot.

Attached: 00060309-photo-carte-ati-radeon-9600-xt-design-de-reference.jpg (1024x715, 520K)

Two years later I got an X800, and was fully bought in on ATI. This card let me play Half Life 2 at 1280x1024 at nearly 50 fps at max settings, which I thought was insane. Played a lot of WoW on this card too.

Attached: ImgW.jpg (600x500, 71K)

Attached: skulltrail-3q.jpg (600x500, 88K)

Going from that X800 to an 8800 gt was probably the biggest performance leap I've ever had in gaming. Also the 8800GT was such a ridiculously good deal, 90% of the performance of an 8800 GTX at 40% of the price. I bought two of these with money I made working at Target in high school and felt like such a baller until I realized my motherboard barely supported SLI and that it really wasn't worth it. Sold the second 8800 GT a year later for $150.

Attached: IMG_4426.jpg (1024x768, 277K)

Got this fucking housefire in 2011 and hated it. Shit performance, the housefire memes weren't wrong (made my bedroom feel like a fucking sauna in Pittsburgh in the summer), and had to RMA it twice to EVGA. EVGA jerked me around both times too and they charged me $30 each time for a shipping label, which was atrocious to my broke college ass

Attached: evga-GeForce_GTX470-hero.jpg (450x307, 21K)

first copy of photoshop I ever had. Came with a gateway PC in the late 90s. Used this for a few years before I learned how to pirate CS2 in the early 2000s. Now I use photoshop every day for work. Makes me smile knowing that I pretty much have my job because of teaching myself how to use pirated software when I was a kid.

tkx for reading my blogposts
