Interviewed today with a DOE contractor in the rural midwest. Appalachian coal belt, prob the whitest tri-state area in the US. There was a sigh of disapointment the second I walked in and lack of interest throughout the entire process. After grilling me for 90+ minutes, most of the people just bounced without goodbyes, handshakes, or any other formalities like I wasn't even there. The HR lady stuck around to explain in corporate jargon how they're really looking for an affirmative action hire and I just got the interview because I have a black name.

the black wire is clearly a high current wire or at least rated to carry a lot of current so when a large amount of current actually goes through that wire it is going to go through that shitty screw tap and dinky little wire and its probably going to instantly vaporize if not catch on fire
