>List your uses, e.g. Gaming, Video Editing, VM Work
>For monitors, include purpose (e.g., photoediting, gaming) and graphics card pairing (if applicable)

CPUs based on current pricing:
>Athlon 200GE - HTPC, web browsing, bare minimum gaming
>R3 2200G - Light 30-60fps gaming (dGPU optional).
>R5 2600 - Good 60fps+ gaming CPU; great value especially used
>R5 3600 - midrange; good for all but the absolute highest end GPUs
>R7 3700X - High end, higher FPS. 3900X/9900k is better in some games, but generally only with a 2080Ti @ 1080p.
>R9 3900X - Gaming+Streaming/Extreme Productivity

RAM:
>Do not use a single DIMM. 2 sticks ONLY for a typical dual channel CPU
>CPUs benefit from fast RAM; 3200CL16 minimum
>AMD B & X chipsets and Intel Z chipsets support XMP

Graphics cards based on current pricing:
1080p
>RX 570/580 8GB - Can be found on sale for cheap. Look for 570s which are >1240MHz boost
>GTX 1660 - higher fps or for more demanding games
>RX 5700 - high FPS (requires complementary CPU and monitor)
1440p
>RX 5700 - 75-100fps+ in most games
>RTX 2080ti - Highest possible frames, but poor value
2160p (4K)
>RTX 2070 Super OC - budget option. Turing performance scales better into 4K than Navi does.
>2080Ti - best for 4K but expensive

>Navi launch drivers have issues, particularly with OCing. Wait for non-blowers if considering the XT. 5700 blower is fine, due to low power.

had these parts sitting around for a while now and i'm finally bored enough to actually build it. recommend me a board for overclocking the 8700k.

>nobody discussing

I don't wanna buy right now, do I have to fear the shops running out of 3700x in the coming weeks?

fuck jannies, fuck Jow Forums and fuck amd

>recommend me a board for overclocking the 8700k
Z390 Gigabyte Aorus. Depends how much you want to spend, but if you want to spend a lot, it's all Gigabyte.

no you're already experiencing that feel

You need to pick an xmp

Attached: 527_1000.gif (460x345, 1.04M)

So is msi game boost safe to run? Also I bought 3200mhz speed ram but why does ddr speed show only 2667??

Is it safe to run both xmp and game boost?

XMP profile.

CAD

Single chiplet issue, will affect 3600, 3700x and 3800. Doesn't show in applications, very little effect in overall benchmarks.

Happy now?

/pcbg/ confirmed Russian shill

2600x with 5700xt
am i bottlenecking?

>a lot
>it's barely at 200euro
much cheaper than i thought, was expecting some 300++ boards.

I'm planning on getting a Tomahawk with a 3700x, questions
>is the bios update out
>if its a fresh build how do i update the bios

gpu prices are still TOO GOSH DARN HIGH

Attached: 1476055745001.jpg (472x472, 12K)

>Is it safe to run both xmp and game boost?
Game boost(whatever that is)
Has nothing to do with ram. I hope Sounds like some stupid shit your mobo manufacturers made up and threw in. Just ignore it. It's not something AMD came up with and is probably full of shit just to trick boobs in nto thinking they're getting more than they are

Proper coolers for RX5000 better be early august

do not get the tomahawk

no goy NO! please buy AMD, they give you very good deal, cut every corner possible to make profit too!

Attached: amd stock holders desperate for you to buy amd products.jpg (900x97, 28K)

why

>o no guise, my chip can only write 25gb/s to ram
it has absolutely 0 effect on benchmarks, this is peak shitposting.

literally a non-issue.

wait for the navi high end and the 2080S. if that doesn't bring down prices nothing will.

Why not? It's supported

I'd say if you truly love her you'll get her 16gb ram. Though you can get a 2400g or 2200g instead. You don't need a 2600 for her but get it if you want. Though 16gb is a better investment

I'm using a msi b450 tomahawk and it says it clocks my cpu from 3.6 to 3.85. but thanks I'll activate the xmp

i have 8gb with a 4690k and i never use all 8 so i think she'll be fine, besides there will be 2 open ram slots for future upgrades

Why are they testing shit ram? Where are the lower cas

Attached: 526_1000.gif (460x345, 1.27M)

I did it bros
Now I just have to wait for the motherboard I want to go back in stock

Attached: 3700X.png (636x218, 15K)

He's a shill with. O reasoning. It's fine
>I'm using a msi b450 tomahawk and it says it clocks my cpu from 3.6 to 3.85.
Snake oil. Ryzen does that by default.
>i have 8gb with a 4690k and i never use all 8 so i think she'll be fine, besides there will be 2 open ram slots for future upgrades
Go ahead then m8. Don't need the 2600 them though.

Attached: omg why aren't the reviwers sucking Navi off more, I SAY THEY ARE NVIDIA SHILLS.jpg (478x458, 100K)

Will we see half slot GT 1650's running at x4 PCIE 4.0?

>dont need the 2600
what then?

2080 super will reduce 2080 prices, 2070 super already costs as 2070 so it's just a matter of time unless stores keep the same price

How is Windows 7 support with X570 and 3000 series CPUs? Mobo websites seems to only be providing Win 10 drivers now when B450 and X470 had Win 7 drivers available. Does that mean a an older AM4 board would be fine with a 3000 series CPU and Windows 7?

For Fractual Design guys, I've got a question for you. I've had a Define R4 series case, I know they have since released a R5 and R6 one, but looking at their website it looks like they also have a Define S2, which appears to be the newest model? Is this just a continuation of the R6? If not, what's different about it compared to the R-series? It's still a Define series case, I'm so confused. It's like they have a series within a series now...

Literally only 3 tech reviewers.

3 reviews shilling AMD is not enough, we need more!
Fucking shillers nexus and shills unboxed needs to shill amd as well! Otherwise everybody is a nvidia shill!

It's really powerful what are you currently using? Maybe swap with her. And get a 2400g or 2200. It's all she'll need. I doubt she's monitoring FPS all these months and those two will hit 100fps on 1080 easy

this has gone "Zeon/The EFF have nothing wrong" tier.

Both sides have shills. This is the reality.

Why are people so adamant on holding onto that aging os?
Wtf is wrong with your current case?
Lol

Both gave the 3600 tons of praise and recommend it over any i5.

It's still under MS support and is perfectly usable for browsing the web, gaming, productivity and many other things?

>Wtf is wrong with your current case?
I don't have a current case, I sold my last PC.

Looking for a new monitor, 1440p IPS but I'm not sure if I should go for 144hz? I got a 1070 so obviously I won't hit near those frames in newer games. Worth it just to have 144hz in Windows and occasionally when playing older games or should I just stick to 60hz?

144Hz are great even if you do not come close in terms of FPS in the games you usually play Also you usually keep monitors far longer than GPUs.
24 or 27"? Definetly make sure to get an adaptive sync one

>It's still under MS support
Isn't that suppose to be ending this year or the next?
Anyways your begging for driver issues with newer things.
I remember with the initial ryzen 1000 you had to jump through hoops to get it running right.

A monitor is going to outlast any other part of your setup, maybe even your headphones and case.

are you mad because you didn't get to see a faggot shilling to a half naked guy?
youtube.com/watch?v=x6uR0Ow7OAo

im on a 4690k/1070. also im not paying for it, she is.
2400g is only $10 cheaper and i feel like the 2200g is too cheap but ill see what she says.

i have a 970 i was going to give her but will it be bottle necked by the 2200g?

27"+ of course.
However is 144hz great if I can only get 70-80 fps in games?

People who watch the big bang theory should fucking kill themselves

Nah. 970 should be perfect for it. Since the 2600 is only $10 get that or go for the 2200g. Atleast with the 2200g she'll still be able to play Minecraft and sims4 if the GPU bombs for whatever reason

we got an extra gpu so that shouldnt matter. ill see what she says about the extra cost for the better computer

I've updated the build list

>Both gave the 3600 tons of praise and recommend it over any i5.
That's not good enough, they are just doing that to throw off suspicion, mark my word they are 100% nvidia shills, because they didn't say navi is perfect and you should buy now

>GT 1650
>PCIE 4.0
no

Stop recommending blower cards dumbass

why the 3700x with the xt, the 3600 is plenty for 1440p 144hz gaming

How do I update x470 firmware to support zen2 without an older ryzen cpu?

you can't unless it has the bios flashback feature
apparently AMD will send you a cpu to use though

Blower is fine on the 5700. Notes on the builds say to choose cards with aftermarket coolers. Of course none are currently released

It's already an expensive build. The 3600 is fine though. I'll add that in a note under the build

hello sirs,
can someone here do the needful and test Kingdom Come Deliverance on a 3900X 1440p? no one on youtube is doing it.
thank you sirs and god bless.

sent ;)

>NOOOOO IT'S 50DB INSTEAD OF 45 DB
oof

cope

Attached: 111347.png (650x450, 31K)

yes it is. here's a list of monitors
geizhals.de/?cat=monlcd19wide&xf=11939_27~11955_IPS~11963_144~11992_Adaptive Sync/AMD FreeSync~14591_25601440

i don't speak nazi

>NOOOOO THE BLOWER MAKES IT RUN 5 TO 7'C HOTTER
oof
I guess I better pony up an extra £100 huh

RTX 2060 owner day 1 purchaser here, help me cope, lads. Will I be able to maintain 1080p 60FPS on low/medium for the next 3 years even as the RX 5700 stays on ultra 1080p 100FPS?

model names are not translated, there is no better search engine for hardware around

not with 6gb of ram, peasant

Depends if you want to play the latest multiplat with all bells and whistles on.

>RTX 2060 owner day 1 purchaser here
>things that didn't happen
The 2060 will be fine at 1080p for a few years, well into the next console gen

>nvidia shilling isn't rea-
youtube.com/watch?v=nMZNCxmFURA

worst times to buy a monitor
nothing on that list is worth buying
it's either old garbage, trash QC panels or overpriced and broken monitors

Only hope left is the LG coming later this month/august

pcpartpicker.com/list/3rBDD2

well lads, this a good build?

Will I need to take out the power supply if I'm replacing the motherboard?

oof, you drank all the jew koolaid

the 27+" IPS range has been pretty dead since a long time, yeah. There is still nothing better than the MG279Q and FS2735 and those are like 3 years old at this point. There have been tons of cheapter TN 1440p 144+Hz monitors, and some VA ones though.

Buy an Aorus Master then, but it's kinda silly if you don't have a 9900K on a loop.
youtube.com/watch?v=v5NDtS8za8g

>4670k
Well it sure is good bait.

Is there any benefit to getting an x570 over an x470?

>doesn't know how decibels work
or do you just hope other bots don't know either so you can laugh in ignorance?

>louder
>and hotter
I guess it's not memes and they really are that, thanks for providing proof.

>AMD Ryzen 9 3900X (3.8 GHz)
>MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI
>RAM 16 Go 3000 MHz
>NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 Go
>SSD NVMe 480 Go
>MSI MPG GUNGNIR 100
How is it ? its for gaming and maybe streaming, will also use a no-name 750W 120 mm 80PLUS Gold PSU. thanks for the help

AAAHHH MY EARS SAVE ME NVIDIA THIS GPU IS 5DB LOUDER I'M GOING DEAF

9400F is a better buy than a 3600.

Attached: 1561598119522.jpg (667x593, 57K)

Why did you go for all reasonably high end parts then cheap out hardcore on the RAM?

In bizarro world it might be, sure. In reality it kills the 9600K, 9400F isn't even close.
youtube.com/watch?v=ke3OnFlOUnI

FS2735 is like €1k and MG279Q is a dead product here in Scandinavia
After going through so many PG279Q and XB271HU I've lost all hope on 27" IPS 144/1440. My last hope is the LG 27GL850

I need three 120mm fans for my Lian-Li PC-O11 Dynamic case

Someone here recommended - amazon.com/ARCTIC-Black-Value-Pack-Pressure-optimised/dp/B07HC782D5/ref=dp_ob_title_ce - but I only need 3

I'm fine with having leftovers, but is there no better option?

>bought a 2600 cpu because it was 10 bucks cheaper than usual
>returning it to germany costs too much
Would it still work well with the newer cards such as the 5700, 2060S etc?

Attached: me thinking.png (326x326, 18K)
