I agree. It's a fine balance between mutual and personal interests. Two thinks that a crucial are that one, you have similar base interests and values (marriage, kids, finance management...) and two communication as in being able to resolve problems like adults without drama because most relationships fail (under the assumption that they have the first one down) because of misunderstandings and petty shit. There are cases where people just drift apart from no reason but usually there's a deeper problem involved.
