you should be using a password manager so you should only ever have to remember one password.

don't bother trying to make that password particularly memorable, just generate something secure and then spend fifteen minutes typing it over and over again and you'll never forget it.

I use passphrases between 5 and 10 words long, bitwarden and authy, and some of my shit is written on paper.

I'm not sure how good it is, but I'm sure it beats using the same password for 67 throwaway account sites and the same old easily bruteforceable ones for the important shit. I've experienced no stolen shit on my end but I'd rather have this medium level of security.

If this worries you then you should remember two passwords, one for your email and one for your password manager. If you don't store your email password you can still recover some of your stuff via email should you need to. But that shouldn't be necessary. Roll the passwords you need to remember with diceware.
