I've got to say, I wasn't expecting much from Navi, but it actually seems really impressive. The only fly in the ointment seems to be that they're not as far ahead of nVidia in power consumption as they probably should be given 7 nm.

It'll be really interesting where they take Navi from here. Given that the current cards are only 36 and 40 CUs, it seems they should be able to scale it up by a whole lot, in which case it'll be interesting to see how it compares to the 2080 Ti. Then again, if they could do that, I reckon they should've released that card first, so I guess there's some kind of limitation to it. Scaling it down would be really nice too, though.

This isn't even funny, think about when the partner cards come out they'll have their own coolers and tuned settings plus the platform will only mature more with drivers, the 5700xt is taking a massive dump on everything.

Yes. Hardware Unboxed pushed the fan to 100% and it managed to reach higher clocks without reaching retarded temperatures, but obviously it was noisy as fuck.
