Shit, I remember heating my sandwiches and waited for cheese to melt on dad's Ford Transit engine. It was fun, but sandwiches smelled like burnt oil.

Amps? Amps are still used.
Most of speaker and headphone general is underage to 20 years and uses amps.

Yeah, but now it's just blacks everywhere.

Turning turbo on actually slowed the cpu down

>Denon good taste

DVI->VGA, but The D-SUB is best used as RS232

CS>M>S

2 out of 4, almost a boomer, almost

Why didn't people just keep turbo mode activated all the time?

>>Does the opposite so programs operate at normal speed instead of going too fast.
thats only half true. turbo also gave higher clock speed like from 66 to 99

Some people probably did but it wouldn't be a good idea because it's meant to work with old programs that tied stuff to cpu clock speed and were therefore fucky on faster cpus.

Some early PC games were programmed to base the speed they ran at on that of the computer's processor, with no upper limit, not predicting the speed at which technology would improve. Reality ensued, and soon enough these games became unplayable because of how fast everything was. Turbo button was a crutch that slowed down the CPU considerably in order to make these games playable again on modern hardware.

Of course I'm not a full blown boomer.
I'm only 32.

That's boomer in meme talk.

It's still being updated, you know

die monster

Finally someone says this

Most everyone did. Only point of it was using old games and programs that do their timing based off CPU cycle counting and got messed up if the CPU was way faster than expected.

Ah, okay.

you don't belong in this world

>Finally someone says this
Already said twice in the thread though.

It was not by my hand that I'm once again given flesh.

You zoomers will never know what its like...

I appreciate how the dev made it look like a mash between system 7 and win95. I do think that large app bar on the left needs to go though.

Oh boy here we go...

Remember: the blacks must be together

I still have it in my computer parts box

They are very good with theses.

Only boomers know the pain of rewiring this

I'm kinda happy that these disappeared.
It's like there was some standard universal size in pockets that was always juust a bit too tight to fit these players.
Minidisc on the other had was god tier.

Attached: c0zo4cyblzt01.jpg (500x375, 74K)

Yup, I definitely miss these things skipping all the time if you so much as shifted your weight. Throwing one in my backpack and going mountain biking rarely worked out well.

Attached: spiky_boi.jpg (488x488, 22K)

Luckily, I only had to deal with that on my first build.

RIP Pentium 2 MMX 233MHz @240MHz jumper overclocked, 192MB SDR133, ATI 3D Rage II+ DVD w/ EvilKing Voodoo 2 SLi and 3.2GB 3.5' Fujitsu Siemens drive+1.64GB 5.25' Maxtor HDD PC.

Check this out, 16 mhz and 64 mb of ram wow.

Attached: factory rice 2.jpg (3264x2448, 1.99M)

This was before computer cases got completely blacked though.

The discs were specifically designed to just barely fit in a pocket, so as to hold as much as possible while still meeting the fits-in-a-pocket requirement. They didn't foresee players just bigger than a couple CD cases when they designed the discs.

>16 mhz and 64 mb of ram wow.
No.

Attached: 1519420624450.png (378x374, 165K)

god damn i hated that bullshit. was even worse on SCSI.

That's a fucking sexy PC tho. Japanese electronics design in the late 80's / early 90's was so cool. Check out the maclord svhs machines of the time if you really want to jizz your pants.

That's just the worst. I sure hate how blacks are everywhere now.

>it flatters with sincerity by stealing beautiful ideas from various other systems
Stealing is for niggers tho so dropped.

>core rope memory in your computer parts box
What the fuck?

That's a really clean engine.

RSS

/based/ carbonator.

Goddamned thing was undriveable in the rain, so the engine bay stayed pretty spotless.

What the absolute fuck was that shit?

What the fuck is this? My dad asked me to change one of our lightbulbs and it had that wire thing in it

>Go into "LOL le boomers are so silly!" thread
>Recognize every product
>Remember owning some of this shit
>Am not a Boomer, just come from a "No user my son we're not REALLY poor" family
I fucking hate all of you. I'm going to go fucking cry on my Gateway Performance PC with Monster Sound Card & Controller ports.

Had to set the jumper physically to either slave or master. Fun times when you lost the jumper

Sometimes you were a boomer all along

The port could take TWO drives, so you had to set the drives to match which connection they were on.

The only useful purpose of these was to shield your eyes from dust particles that really shitty CRTs with a lack of shielding catapulted

Poorfag here. There's nothing wrong with being a boomer in spirit.
I never understood what the right bar on that thing was for.

do red boards like that even exist anymore? i havent seen them in a while

*vriiiiiiiiiIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII*

Left bar: the progress of the current file
Middle: Same as the progress bar on the window on the right
Right: Shows how full your HDD is, only works correctly if your HDD is very small. If it's almost full it shows a stop sign on the bottom

Cool, thanks. Now I know.

best gui right here *sip*

I always liked the briefcase icon, made it all look so "official".
Here's some more icons. I'm also pretty sure there was a jack-in-the-box icon somewhere, does anyone remember that one?

Attached: 1537034089129.png (377x373, 18K)

36.png was my favorite fuckin icon when I was a kid, I'd set that shit to everything

Bitmapped icons were kino.
>there was a jack-in-the-box icon somewhere
You mean this one?

Playing quake with dusty ball mouse

I remember setting it to Hexen's shortcut. Not my screenshot but obviously people had the same idea.

I thought it had a box too but now that you've posted it I think I have faulty memory.

Forgot to paste pic.

Ah, it's the one used for the mouse test then.

I remember this too. Could've sworn it was in pifmgr. Not in moricons either.

This "Palm Pilot" thing people talked about sucked and real tech boomers knew about the superior choice.

Shit, I want that case.
