Besides buying something decent for a higher price is cheaper in the long run than buying cheap trash and having to replace it all the time when it breaks down, potentially getting totally fucked when it breaks down during an important moment. Companies like IBM specifically go full Mac due the price.

And obviously for people who enjoy being able to replace components. Plus the design is actually pretty cool.

But if you're not THAT pressed for money and want something better at being a laptop and more enjoyable to use due MacOS ... buying something pricier is a no brainer. The laptop market generally blows in that regard, most options aside of 1.2 Macbooks don't make too much sense.

Things look better making it a more enjoyable experience. Plus it's more comfy to use the web on higher res, check your mails or whatever else. Try using a great screen even for a week and then come back to the ThinkPad, it'll feel like traveling back in time. Are you going to ask why the average person needs more than 96kbs MP3s?

A lot of the pro's come from MacOS itself, shit just working is great, whether you're a professional who can't be assed wasting time on setting it up or a techphobe who gets panic attacks over a pop up or the computer choosing to restart for an update. Plus the UI seems easier for normies to get around even if they used Windows.

Besides if you talk about people who have no clue about tech on only use it for YT/FB/mails, upgrading the harddrive is a big fucking ask, and the performance without SSD just falls too far behind. Paying more for a complete package for a computer they can use fully after opening the box saves them a lot fucking stress.
