I just got a new phone a few days ago and it's ALREADY shitting the bed because I was a fucking idiot and allowed it to update to Android 9. We already know that Apple's updates kill their phones too, so before any iToddlers chime in just shut the fuck up.

Both Win10 updates and Office 365 updates (especially in Word 365) constantly brake features, its unusable. I completely stopped using my ultrabook because of this, its just useless without Win7+Office10

I install eventually but I usually let updates simmer for a few days, letting the auto update beta testers have all the fun, in case the updates are bogged.

He's not saying DON'T update, he's saying to disable AUTOMATIC updates.
It's always better to be outside the first round of update receivers. Let other's test the waters. See if there are any problems cropping up after updates are released and then update once it seems clear.

on win7 there's an option right there to disable updates, one to warn you, but not download (uses 1 GB of ram several hours once a day to check the fucking updates), one to download but not install (uses the ram too), and one that retards use to automatically install
