Apple Preview is the only good PDF application, and is worth the extra cost of a Mac if you have to put up with PDFs on a regular basis.

It’s literally faster than any other PDF tool I’ve seen. Apparently Apple uses PDF as a core technology for their UI rendering (as a successor to Display PostScript, which was used in NeXTStep), so it makes sense that it would be incredibly optimized. Even Adobe’s apps can’t touch this in performance (but that’s because modern PDF is an insanely bloated standard).

Pic related because it's the only one that supports forms.

Foxit also supports forms

It's only good on high-DPI displays. There's a long-standing bug in PDFKit where it adds absurd amounts of blur over everything if you happen to have a non-Retina display. (Apple broke it in High Sierra, IIRC, and will probably never fix it.)

Master PDF editor. As someone who has to work PDFs, there's nothing better if you need to create forms or make quick edits.
Fuck Adobe long and hard.
