don't use an nvme drive. simples

DETAILS PLEASE?

This is pretty useless in almost all instances.

> Inb4 Windows gaymen load times

People who uses nvme drives with Ryzen 3xxx are getting their files corrupted. Probably this will get fixed as the BIOS updates happens in the next few days.

>falling for the NVMe Jew
Literally nothing you do is affected by that extra speed even slightly, Cletus.

NVMe is literally pointless, you shave off an extra second but installing or reinstalling the drive is much more time consuming than the 2.5''

Why does it work on Linux then?

>a thing you hardly ever do takes a few more seconds
the only downsides to m.2 is price and if it's not cooled properly, longevity

so... it's like paying more for something that's more susceptible to failure?

it's a windows bug
install gentoo

>If I don't have any use for it no one could possibly ever have any use for it!
Go be a fucking consumer somewhere else.

NVMe is good as a protocol, but M.2 is the wrong form factor. Wish we'd get 2.5" NVMe drives. I think there's some already but they're unpopular.

>ignoring the fact that PCIE ssd's are stupid fast compared to SATA
why did you post some ugly roastie picture

what
m.2 nvme isn't useful unless you want to pay more for the higher speed over sata or can't fit any 2.5" drives anywhere like in a itx case or something

those are u.2, some servers use them

The WHEA events were AER corrected errors from the hardware. Usually reporting is masked by BIOS. ALL systems have these, Intel and AMD. Given the sheer amount of transactions happening on a PCIe bus 1-2 every few minutes is literally a trillionth of a percent error rate. The idiot from Reddit's was using windblows and it was incorrectly flagging system files as corrupted. If that were indeed true the system could barely run much less boot.

I have 2x 512Gb 960 Pros in RAID 0 and I'm not afraid of the haters.

where's your home server rakc?

I don't have a rakc

>>NVMe: 1 screw
>>SATA drive: 4 screws

>Not using a case that allows you add those on the fly without needing screws

Don't be stupid. They patched that days ago.

>screws
What? how old is your case? because the new ones come with a tray for it, no screws whatsoever.

you fell for the bait

250GB

Do I get an Evo Plus or a Pro?

Both and just return the one you don't like

cringe, my man

I'm using two HP NVMe TLC x4 in RAID0 right now on my X570 board though?

Just bought a 2700 for $200, I wanted the 8 cores, since I dont play too many games these days, I only have a Samsung 850 pro 256gb ssd as the boot drive so this wouldn't effect me at all even I did get the new ryzen 3000 cpus

>bbbb.but ayyymd will have PCIE 4.0
>bbbb.but intel is still stuck with PCIE 3.0
>how am i supposed to connect my 5gbps ssd on a intel pc
HHHHHHHHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAA
it's time for a downgrade to the good old SATA@500mbps
what's next?
that your data corrupts when all 10 cores are enabled and the solution is to disable 3 of them?

There is actually no data corruption.

Yeah but who uses shitty QLC drives? Enterprise NVMe SSDs work absolutely fine.

jesus...learn to turn your fucking photos

Not him but Jow Forums does something strange when uploading that strips out the orientation metadata from direct camera uploads. At first I thought it was just a matter of waiting long enough for your phone to process the picture but it's really just Jow Forums.

Ended up just buying a pro on eBay that's like $100. Hopefully it's not fake (guy seemed more convincing than some rando Chinese faggot trying to shill any old thing).

LITERALLY fake news.

Lie.

It's only with phone pictures.

If you have to deal with a big maven build it will save your sanity.

Objectively false. This is a windows update problem and happens on any processor.

I know it is.

I can already see it.
