How much would voltage affect the brightness of my chink LEDs?

The strip says 24v, and the whites are a lot dimmer than the RGB. Meanwhile, my power supply is 12v.

most likely, unless you say the mouse doesn't work at all

leds are extremely sensitive to voltage, too high and they burn, too low and no light comes out, and this can all be a couple of volts difference. your strip says 24v and still lights up maybe because there are resistors along it to drop the voltage as heat and limit current, feed it a higher voltage (keep an eye on heat, 10v dropped as heat @ 1amp is 10w of heat and strips are quite thin)

most likely dropper resistors are in place instead of them being in series all the way to ~21v. which is not such a good setup for a strip, i might add, lots of power lost into heat, but if a single led burns out only 4 or so should stop working
