I blew 3200 dollarydoos back when ram and gpus were overpriced. I didn't want to wait any longer the framerates were killing me
I wouldn't pay that much for a computer now as we are still in the dark ages of gaeming.
By now $1250. I was using a GTX480 I found in a closet for a little while but I just upgraded to a Vega 56.
About 1500€, including 200 for the screen and speakers.
Considering how much piracy I did it's not that much.
Under $600 in 2016. Was meant to be stopgap, but ended up more than I needed.

About 1500 € back then. Mostly because of the 4790k and the GTX 980. Also bought a second SSD later for 160 € I think.
Good thing is, I still don't really have a huge need to upgrade it.

$2000 when it was new, but that's when RAM and GPU prices were inflated. Definitely going down a cheaper upgrade path as there were serious diminishing returns over my original $1000 build

I'll be doing this. If the GPD Win Max is the same size as the GPD P2 Max, then I'll pay the premium for one of those. Sure, given what the price is I could probably get a 1660ti or 2060 laptop for the price of it, but it's pocket sized for my suit jackets if it's the same as the P2 Max, and the vega 8 is good enough for what I want to do on it.
