I don't know why Amir would start to sting other shit. Rtings is doing a great job of measuring headphones, pickup up where Inner Fidelity and doing a better job. It would be nice to have a good database of trustworthy speaker measurements, but Amir isn't going to build a proper anechoic chamber in his PNW mcmansion to do it right and he can't even keep up with measuring DACs, let alone amplifiers.
He should focus on building out his database of DAC and headphone amp measurements and maybe improving the accessibility and organization of the data.

HD800S measures somewhat better in imaging and has better soundstage than the DT1990 PRO, but is otherwise extremely comparable. I dig the look of the HD800S and they were incredibly comfy when I tried them at a meet up, but idk if better phase response and soundstage VS the DT1990 is enough to make them worth it.

This is unnecessary. The nearfield scanner can do a better job for less money but still costs a lot.
The DAC listing is really not that high a priority right now, but he should test more amplifiers, receivers, and interfaces in the meanwhile.

The ASR DAC test results database is the only even somewhat decent collection of DAC test results anywhere. And it has a ton of gaps in its coverage. I think it's pretty important.
Next up is good measurements of headphone amps, which is also sorely lacking.

Th-x00 by a long shot, really nice all-rounders and a safe choice. dt1770 are fatiguing as fuck. Just bear in mind that fostexes are not really closed. If you need good isolation I would rather pick a1000z over dt1770.

Redpill on STAX for newbies: STAX is an old Jap company with outdated tech that was considered good back in the 1970s but sounds like ass by today's standards, so they went nearly bankrupt.
They were purchased for less than $900K by a Chinese company Edifier (whose primary market is cheap Chinese speakers and headphones) who decided to market STAX to the audiophool "more expensive is better" demographic who buys those crappy $3000 vinyl players, they shill heavily on HeadFi and here on /hpg/. They also leveraged STAX's prior Japanese identity to market it to weebs, using Youtubers like Zeos.
