Alright, see you around!

Hello Norway. I'm pretty jelly of that cold right now. It's 64 degrees here, 18 degrees in yuropoor units. Only a little warmer, and I'd be sweating.

Put some ice cubes in your socks, maybe. It may help you. Don't tell anyone I told you this,

Yes! I usually go jogging, or skiing in the winter. What kinda workout do you do?

Wow! I can't believe such a rare flag posted in my thread. I feel honoured!

You're not welcome

Wow, you must be in pretty good shape. I'm just average.

Why not?

I'm going for the classic american look. Exercise would mess it up. I'm also a repairman, so we're expected to be overweight with a buttcrack showing when we bend over.

hello user!
did you have a nice christmas?

It was alright. I didn't do much. Mostly just knitting and eating non-christmasy food. What about you?

why knitting out of all possible hobbies?

Attached: 1541163618286.jpg (1920x1080, 138K)

it's been pretty good so far! nice to see my family again, even though i like the peace of living on my own
mostly just been relaxing and overeating too, lmao

It's fun, accessible, cheap to get started, portable, and you can make whatever you want however you want. It also has a deep root in our culture, so a lot of older people are really good at it. That makes it easy for me to get help whenever I'm stuck on a pattern, or if I don't know how something is done.
Knitting patterns are just like pixel art in a way, so it's easy to make completely original designs if you're into that. My youngest cousin wants me to make him a pokemon-themed sweater, so I've been working on a design like that for his birthday. I personally am a big fan of the older designs from the fifties and back, but I will make whatever people want if it makes them happy.

I just like making stuff, I guess.

what else do you like to do?

Attached: 1542759956094.jpg (480x480, 52K)

I also like to sew. I have a sewing machine that I use to make curtains, pillowcases, and other misc. stuff. I'd like to start making clothes, but I'm too busy knitting during the cold months to really get started on any big projects. I sew more in the summertime since knitwear is kinda out of season then.

I also collect and restore vintage safety razors.

What about your hobbies?

aside from reading, working out and sometimes playing vidya i dont do much. i didnt like doing exercise at first and i saw it as a duty but now i can't stop. i also like to study languages on my own and i want to start learning how to play the piano

i used to collect energy drink cans, i ended up having so much that i couldnt raise my voice because the sound waves would bounce in the cans and leave me temporarily deaf

Like different kinds of energy cans? Or did you have duplicates?

each one was different, whats the point of collecting the same cans over and over im not a hoarder

Attached: 1538516169529.png (620x550, 168K)

That's a good point.

why safety razors?

aaand user is gone till tomorrow!

I enjoy shaving with them. It's a bit of a morning ritual for me.
Apart from that, I find their history and engineering interesting. The reason I collect them is because I want to shave with every single safety razor ever made and feel how different they are. It's a pretty unrealistic goal, but so far I have 127 different ones. I also collect and restore shaving brushes, to a lesser degree. It's a pain to replace the knots. Working with glue and all...
My favourite razor is the Gillette Slim Adjustable. In my opinion it was the peak of safety razors before they kinda fell into obscurity. Nowadays they've seen a bit of a renaissance. My favourite modern safety razor is the Parker Variant.

No I just dozed off, sorry.

i wish i was that passionate about something as much as you are. its hard for me to feel filled with something

Don't worry! Feeling pressured into caring about things won't make you feel fulfilled in the end I think. These things come naturally as you just try things out. Most of the things in my life I ended up giving a damn about were things I was hesitant to even give a shot initially, such as knitting.
I've wanted to be a musician, a cook, a journalist, a writer, a graphic artist, a coder, a fishmonger, a farmer, even a blacksmith and a barista. I spent the larger part of my late teens and early twenties in a tornado of uncertain fate, and when it had all passed, when all I had left was myself and a bunch of faded dreams about futures which never came, it was much easier to just be me and do whatever I wanted.
I'm not rich, but I am pretty happy. I work in a bookstore, I get to do my knitting peacefully at home, and I get to just be myself, with all the weird hobbies I've got.
I'm sure you'll find something in this world to be really passionate about! You just have to keep looking! And don't feel let down when things don't work out. More often than not, whatever you experience will be retained in some positive manner, be it wisdom or skill, or both.

right now im just really passionate about exercising because i want to join the army, its the only place where i see myself rn
>tornado of uncertain fate

Nice, I hope you manage to get in, then. It's worth a shot, right?

yeah, even if im not going to work in the army at least i want to have basic training, i think its something everybody should go through, it makes you stronger in every possible way
