>$ rm -rf /
>$ sudo bang bang

>bang = !
Thanks OP.
All these years, and I've failed to make that connection.

>he shot me down
>sudo bang bang

I refer to it as !, so I don't have to write 3 additional characters every time I use it.

i refer to # as a 'crunch'

Octothorpe bang forward slash binaries forward slash shell

i refer to ! as bang, # as hash, and $ as cash
am I autistic?

!, #, or $ nobody rides for free
Get it?

This is the best shit I've seen on this board in months.

i refer $ as string.

Imma ! the hell out of your mum if she doesn't have my $. If she does, then I'll chill and let her smoke my #. Then ! her.

I appreciate you, user.

>#!/bin/env python
>she bang, bin, environment python
How else are you supposed to say it?

It's an exclam and if you don't call it am exclam you're 100 certainly a faggot

Lmao

It's
# - pound
! - bang
$ - $mash
Example: I #!$ your mom.

no no no! '#' is pound!
#! = pound bang

>#! /bin/bash
>pound bang bin bash
sounds like a chinese cross-street
perfect

Exclamation mark
Pound #, as in #metoo (pound me too)
Dollar (because fuck your poo money)

anybody know where this phrase comes from? it gave me a throwback to like 20 years ago, I remember we'd say 'hash, cash or ass, nobody rides for free.' I tried googling it and I only found shitty songs and stories that are clearly not the originator. Is it just a folk phrase? I live in the american west and people would say this or a variant all the time, many times as a way to downplay someone getting screwed over, or to convey refusal to do someone a favor for nothing in return.

In my youthful days I remember someone asking me if I knew anything about databases and 'sequel' and I responded, "well not sequel but I'm learning My S Q L"

I don't want to know your name
All I want is !!!

I'm gonna ! your mom

>Why yes, I call it an exclamation mark, how did you know?
Dollar is genuinely retarded tho, please stop.

The saying is older than this album. Probably California in origin. Personally I always thought that it was a cheech, and Chong quote.

>Personally I always thought that it was a cheech, and Chong quote.
I guess that this is the correct answer for most people, so maybe the might even be older than cheech, and chong.

>pound me too
Holy fuck, it all makes sense now...
