Upgrade time

Is the 3600 that much better and more worth getting than the 2600

Depends how much of an upgrade you want. Not only is the 3600 clocked 300MHz higher out of the box but the higher IPC makes it almost 1GHz faster if comparing to 2600 clocks. Overall just 20% faster real world single and multi-core tho.

I wouldn't do it

The 3600 is only 200$. I saw the 2600 for 120 bucks. You could pick a decent motherboard and insert a better cpu un a few years. Am4 socket will support 1 more zen generation before switching to am5.

The 3000 series chips are only getting 100-200mhz more than the 2000 series chips

Think its somewhere around 10% better IPC wise, clocks higher, and PCIE 4 if you're a tard that cares.
>If you already have a 2600
wait for the 3600 to go on sale as the value of the 2600 has gone down a bit
>looking to get into zen
3600 all the way unless sub $100 or near it 2600

I already have the 2600 and see no reason to upgrade to the 3600 at this time.

But then again I tend to clutch my CPU's for dear life.

I only upgraded to the 2600 from my i5-750 last year...

Not 10% better IPC, 10% better overall performance

>Update
I have a 2700x and I'll definitely stick with this over the 3700x

Maybe the 4700x will be worth an upgrade, but knowing my luck it'll be a new socket so still not worth the bother until maybe the 5700x and by then Intel will probably have something better out.

*3900X/3950X

they could be bullshitting about Zen 3 just being performance per watt gains
improved batch will iron out early issues like Zen+ and an improved batch could be massive gains

It's pretty good. You'll get like 20% more FPS

the 2600 is $140 (or less)
the 3600 is $200.
is 40-50% extra in price worth the 10-20% uptick in performance?

is this tech support board now

When the fuck will 1600 be affordable? Why are 1st gen ryzens still expensive?

nah, 10-15% better clock for clock and like 5% higher boost
also faster infinity fabric, more cache, better memory controller. I wouldn't upgrade from a 2600/2600x, but if you're switching from intel or am3 the 3600 is definitely a better cpu and still cheap

Do you already have a 2600? Then don't upgrade
You are hesitating between the 2600 and 3600? Get the 3600, unless money is an issue, then just get the cheaper

Nigger it's literally $100 USD for a 6 core 12 thread processor that OCs to 3.8GHz with the stock cooler. I didn't even touch voltage, it could probably go another 100MHz with more voltage

Get a job

Will the next ryzen work with b450 boards?

Yeah

I have a job and get money from govt. I just don't want to spend 3000DKK upgrading my PC.

Looking to spend 1000DKK max for a ryzen CPU + mobo. Right now it seems that will be Ryzen 3 1300 and a gigabyte B450M S2H or MORTAR.

I bet you're a rapefugee. Go back to your country

I bet you don't know your ethnicity, mutt.

Thye are like 50$ on marketplace

Not a mutt but nice try

32mb l3 cache is a huge improvement IMO

lol you basically just admitted to being a refugee.
what a retarded, shitskin.

I didn't admit shit, I deflected. But given the choice I'd rather be a refugee than an American subhuman.
