I'm leaving ubuntu because I don't like forced snaps. Where should I go?

Install Gentoo

OpenMandriva or Mageia.

i will kill you pajeet

Debian is the obvious choice if you want to stay in the same family. If you want to get better with Linux install arch or gentoo or some shit

Did you install Ubuntu over OSX?

sudo apt remove --purge snapd -y && sudo apt autoremove --purge -y

Debian

This.
Mageia is love

Where are the forced snaps?

If you want another just werks OS then Manjaro.

>1280x800

I'd say the next move is Debian. It's what Ubuntu bases its core on and supports a shit ton of architectures and is much less bloated. Ubuntu is training wheels for Debian or used to be that way, people now just remain there because they don't want to lose time configuring Debian.

>forced snaps
??????????
Really?

Yep, announced recently, people are going fucking ballistic

Fedora.
>Memegayah
>OpenManDick
>Depooan

Mint is the most usable IMO. It comes closest to a "just works" Linux distro.

they pretty much all just work now thanks to systemd

>own mac
>durrr wut os does i uze?
Assuming it can't run High Sierra or Mojave natively, build a patched installer. Then use Homebrew, Fink, or MacPorts to install your GNU shit.

Fedora w/ addition snaps.

i expected more from nu-Jow Forums.

debian would be the easiest transition

>forced?
just apt remove that snapd shit?!

sauce?

bullshit, can't find a single article about anything relating to Ubuntu and flatpak.

Just that they were going to drop 32-bit libraries but decided not to after getting feedback. They also said that flatpaks/snaps are an option to bundle the required libraries. But yes, they will be building these packages for 32-bit required stuff for the forseeable future.

There's literally nothing wrong with using Ubuntu LTS or KDE neon.

What's "memegayah" supposed to be mocking?
If you were mocking mageia, the g is soft , I would go with memegina or something.

Of course, no idea why you dislike it. Fedora is neat and shit, but Fusion Repo is retardation compared to the officially maintained Tainted Repos on Mageia.

Fagdora the explora

fedora if you are a sane, well-adjusted individual

In descending order of quality and gnube-friendliness:
-PCLinuxOS
-OpenSuse
-Slackware

These are the only distros that matter.

Just swallow your pride and go Windows.

TempleOS

I wanted to suggest hell, but I think we're already there.

Arch or Manjaro

Slackware

debian all day

openSUSE with Plasma 5

Arch

install gentoo

I got memed into Manjaro during the x86 libraries thing, it was pretty good so far

Gentoo really is the best out there.

If you can show me how to do a minimal install of openSUSE I will switch, I hate the bloat it comes with.

Do a custom installation and select only the packages/patterns you want.
It's not rocket appliances
