>State budget & CURRENCY
>Post at least some attempt at a parts list
>List your uses, e.g. Gaming, Video Editing, VM Work
>For monitors, include purpose (e.g., photoediting, gaming) and graphics card pairing (if applicable)

CPUs based on current pricing:
>Athlon 200GE - HTPC, web browsing, bare minimum gaming (can be OC'd on most mobos with the right BIOS)
>R3 3200G - Recommended minimum gaming
>R5 2600 - Good gaming CPU with great value
>R5 3600 - Great gaming CPU
>R7 3700X - Overkill gaming CPU
>R7 1700X - Budget video editing
>R9 3900X - Professional tasks

RAM:
>Do not use a single DIMM. 2 sticks ONLY for a typical dual channel CPU
>CPUs benefit from fast RAM; 3200CL16 or Micron E-die ("AES" in code) recommended
>AMD B & X chipsets and Intel Z chipsets support XMP
>B-die is EOP, stock is limited

GPUs based on current pricing:
1080p
>RX 570/580 8GB - Can be found on sale/used for cheap. Look for 570s which are >1240MHz boost
>GTX 1660 - higher fps / more demanding games
>RX 5700 - even higher FPS
1440p
>RX 5700 - basic
>RX 5700XT - standard
2160p (4K)
>RTX 2070S OC - budget option. Turing performance scales better into 4K than Navi does.
>2080Ti - best for 4K but expensive

>Navi AIB models come mid-August. 5700 blower is alright, due to low power.

Can someone look over this build for me? It's for a friend, they're not really in to gaming but I want them to have plenty of power for the price.

>3900x
>Professional tasks
Based Intel shills.

for someone not into gaming, they have an awfully small amount of storage

Ncase M1 v6 is happening. Getting all excited about consumerism again.

Attached: 1548060685885.gif (1200x1200, 479K)

500 gb WD
ASRock mobo
RX 570 *4GB*
75$ trash keyboard and mouse

Attached: file.png (400x400, 116K)

what are the specs of your build

and the wait for open air 5700xts continues

5700xt aftermarket etc.
that case has issues with clearance between the gpu and psu. Everything should fit in picrelated while being half the size of the nano.

Attached: sg13.jpg (650x275, 39K)

don't get the EVGA G3 mate
it has more issues than the G2
depends on the games but looks decent for me

will the numale ITX case meme ever die
just get a regular mid tower or an matx if you live in a shoe box
but stop choking your hardware with ITX ffs

How important is memory speed for GPUs

like what. it has a bunch of positive reviews

>choking your hardware with ITX ffs

he does not know how air functions

Attached: file.png (1280x720, 1.08M)

as the owner of a node 202, mid tower is a waste

if RAM isn't listed on the qvl for your motherboard can you still use it?

Numale people from Reddit don't get to have the monopoly of nice things. It's also about being autistic and giving yourself hardware challenges.
For real though, it depends on the case. The ones that force you to use a riser cable to reduce width by a couple centimeters are where I draw the line.

Need help with 140mm case fans. 2x will be used as front intakes for my meshify C case. Looking at Arctic's fans here, as they seem good from a price/performance standpoint. I've got 2 in mind:

arctic.ac/de_en/f14-pwm.html
arctic.ac/de_en/p14-pwm.html

Which one do I pick for front intake? Is there a negative in going for the high static pressure fans? It looks like they need a higher RPM to achieve the same airflow, so they might be louder. I know that you're usually supposed to go for AF fans with a mesh front, but some aerospace engineer on leddit (I know), crunched the numbers and arrived at the conclusion that you should always use high SP case fans, whenever possible.

Attached: 1558836612140.jpg (665x574, 49K)

yes

even included ones are more than enoough, they do make a little bit of sound tho but airflow is more than great w just 2 dont bother

Also most importantly, SFF is the only market segment where case manufacturers actually innovate. Appalling when you think about it.

so is there a difference in any of the manufacturers of RX 5700XT? i mean asus, msi, sapphire, asrock and gigabyte...

works on my machine

Attached: shoebox5000.jpg (3264x1840, 1.56M)

>works
lol

fan malfunctions that renders the unit pretty much dead

>paying a shit ton for a gutted beer crate

Fuck bros I don't want to sell my haf 922. We have been together for 10 years

Attached: 1558114922696.png (1349x694, 126K)

the difference should be minimal since it has mesh in the front, in practice you are not going to notice a delta in performance but you are probably going to notice the delta in noise, if you feel more comfortable following that guy then go for it

>top tier
sapphire
>good tier
xfx
>ok tier
msi (maybe), powercolor
>jew tier
asus
>the fuck are you doing? tier
niggabyte, asrock

It's an interesting build. Ignore the small-minded ones.

Big boy airflow, everything in one water loop, or airflow and a cpu block cooler thing?

yeah just use the two fans it comes with
then set up a fan curve in bios
my shit is totally silent, it's amazing

comfortably runs a 300w 290
i payed $45 for it

Yeah with all the panels ripped off lol

made this just for you
you fucking soi boys

Attached: ITX.gif (680x315, 106K)

You're smart. Have a pity (You).

kek
you aight white boy

any 2600x owners here?
can you have 4.3 all core?

FUCK itx and FUCK MID TOWERS
mATX chads, where we at?

Motherboard manufacturers are trying to kill it, sadly. It's almost dead now.

i seriously dont understand why
its the perfect size for people who want what an atx mobo can do (minus 1 or 2 pcie16 depending on the board) without needing a fuckhuge case

lol fuck no
just enable PBO and set up a -100mV offset.

Which part are most likely have some degradation after being overclocked? Thinking of purchasing second hand PC (not sure if it's been OCed or not) but replace the processor with a new one. I heard OC can also degrade the RAM & motherboard.

They're making no efforts to design and market those, so it doesn't sell. And then they blame the form factor for not selling. Master plan.

damn I guess my mate hit the silicone lottery
hes got a 2600x, 4.3 all core at 1.405V

manlet tier
i bet you're a hairlet too

That would be nice it was a safe voltage or at all stable.
1.35 MAX or you're degrading it rapidly.

Also, the PC doesn't have any GPU. Instead or purchasing one, I'm thinking of replacing the processor to one with integrated GPU.

I'll have you know I'm 6'5"
I AM however a fscial hairlet and chest hairlet

no wasted space
you'd be surprised. Relatively negligible change in temp with cover on and off, the push/pull setup on the h75 acts as a big exhaust for the 11L enclosure.

Attached: WP_20170511_17_47_40_Pro.jpg (3264x1840, 1.71M)

seasonic focus plus gold 550w
I saved you 20$, don't thank me.

Why does AMD continue to go with precision boost? Why not just let people manually OC. PB has been proven to give hardly any preformance gains and PBO doesn't really do much either except raise temps.

What are some good, quiet, and cheap case intake fans?

>1.405v
RIP in peice.

Noctua Redux

I'm buying the CM h500.
What I'm in for?

That's an easy one. It's a fact a ridiculously large amount of users just plug and play without ever touching (or understanding) BIOS settings. That way they're still getting the performance and can leave a positive review on Amazon.

How bad of an idea is to buy a Gigabyte RX 570 when my current GPU (GTX 950) reaches 75 C° in temperature, i am struggling for money and they are not selling any others over here

a case

PB is very effective.
PBO on the other hand does very little on the current AGESA. It was better pre 1.0.0.3a.

Can I fit a loli in it?

Attached: 1563721897015.jpg (504x504, 36K)

You'd probably need to liquefy it first.

It's easier to just manually OC to 4ghz on all cores and then set your voltage at 1.2. You get the average of the PB without having high temps.

Sure if you have no use for single thread performance.

i see you're a man of culture as well

Not OP, but per-CCX manual overclocking is a new thing and should be the best of both worlds.

The floor of my bedroom is all carpeting, so what kind of PC stand would y’all recommend for a full tower case?

Attached: 71AE97C1-74DE-4853-AC65-E53B32CA905B.jpg (750x686, 57K)

not him but would the 1300 rpm be sufficient in most situations or should I just get the 1700 and tweak the fan profile if needed?
theyre the same price

Stability is the main issue there. Most people just use ccx for bechmarks.

A bit of wood will do.
I use the 140mm 1300RPMs, they're fine.

It's really not all it was hyped up to be. Only good if you got lucky with a golden CCX, most don't.

>Sapphire
Enjoy your coil whine

I spent 600€ for a 3700x build and I'm a joblet. Parts arent even here yet and I feel a little bit of regret

Attached: 1558891391579.jpg (1024x806, 78K)

Can't you just use it to retain low thermals by running high clocks on cores 0,1 and 2? I'll admit ignorance on the subject as I haven't touched Zen 2 yet.

what board do you use?
we're talking zen 2 right?

>anti-vibration pads sold separately
yeah nope,
fuck these noctua jews

He asked for cheap, still quieter than the alternatives even without them.

protip: they don't move

>x570 is plug and play
>niggabyte aorus is 16mb eem rom
>b450 and x470 can't get stable bioses despite also being 16mb eem rom
though it was a size problem, how come msi is crancking up the max serie with 32 mb then?

Attached: 1563226869184.jpg (276x280, 42K)

you know too much

Attached: 1548672444364.png (583x482, 119K)

>eem rom
Sorry, what?
btw ASUS use 32MB and they're still shit.

PB barely averages 4.1ghz. Having 4ghz all core clock is more consistent.

considering going 9400f instead of 2600 because of muh gay men and not having to deal with the ram issues

any intel or amd shill can honestly give me the drawbacks of what i'm getting into
i'm not ever considering doing streaming or production so you can bar that off

eep rom*

It's locked.
To make it worthwhile value you need a cheap mobo that doesn't support XMP.
No opportunity to upgrade ever, you'd need a while new setup.
6 threads is very short-sighted.
If you don't care about any of that it'll be fine for year or two until next gen console ports come.

theyre both alright
if its solely for gaymen then the 9400f is your man

objectively speaking, whats the best 3200cl16 ram for zen+, specifically a 2600x

Ballistix Sport LT

5700xt is better

How does it feel that no one is buying intel no matter how hard you try to shill for them?

Attached: chrome_DU5btJ1bjg.png (1095x830, 120K)

whats the absolute best power supply?

based and redpilled

I love my haf XB have had it through 2 builds gonna be 3 soon

Just get a 3600, its faster than both and like only 50$ more

Seasonic

>God tier
XFX

fixed

Nobody needs this unless they hate money

>what board do you use?
>we're talking zen 2 right?
3900x and an Asus crosshair7.
