Post a photo of yours or gtfo.

Guake. It drops down like a video game one.

Whatever comes as default with your distro and has features you want, say tabs or drop-down. If you really want to change your command-line experience, try different shells, like zsh or fish.

st

i like terminator

>Except Tilix, of course, which as you likely guessed, I do use.

Is there a reason to not use Urxvt?

I've had someone say they switched off urxvt because they wanted emojis in the terminal.
I was so shocked I basically stopped discussing with the guy.

wait how would that work? wouldn't you have to use a different rendering system for the terminal?

He isn't by any chance developer at Microsoft and working at their new terminal?

kitty does this, its OpenGL based or something. Point is it has not only full color emojis

just use tty

Oh shit this nigga smart and based!

urxvt daemon is good enough

Hell yes.

how hard is it to write my own terminal emulator in C?
I saw bisqwit do it with C++ in like less than 10 hours

Konsole

user, vt100 is what you would call a terminal. A terminal emulator is literally an emulator.

kitty

urxvt is fine

OSX
> iTerm2
LNX or UNX
> urxvt
> xterm

That's what I'm saying. People just know what 'emulator' means

I think st is pretty neat. Luke Smith's build has a bunch of useful features with it if you don't want to make your own build.
