If you consider what you're doing, it's nuts. You're giving a third party complete access over your web application's behaviour. I just don't understand how anyone could ever do this. Embedding scripts from someone else isn't just giving them a little tracking data, it's giving them FULL CONTROL over your entire web application.

In its core, Yandex is truly one of the best Russian internet companies out there. Naturally by letting them provide good service they will eat a great share from American services, which is already happening now. Sadly, incompetent boomers from government don't understand that and want to takeover Yandex, and that eventually would destroy them.
Just recently Yandex was in a public standoff with FSB over transferring them session keys, which would technically grant FSB access to all accounts on the service. The resolution was, according to Yandex, "they complied with request without breaching the privacy of our users" - I assume that means they complied with request, period.
The national bank Sberbank already tried to hostile takeover Yandex, which was aborted shortly after share prices dropped at insane rated. Now they're trying from another angle, just recently a bill was introduced to make a registry of "sites of national importance", they would be required to have no more than 20% of foreign ownership. Basically this is "Yandex bill", because everything else (and there aren't much else) is already owned by state or state-affiliated organizations.
So in the end, sadly, they're going to lose, retards would take over and they would destroy everything that was good about it.
