Mix of tier 1 and tier 2 at an MSP with 90 clients and about 775 devices. It's just my boss and I, I've had the job for about 3 months. It's really great and I love it, I get to fix things but also have a ton of face time with clients. Because I love working with people that is a benefit to me.
However since it's just my boss and I, and I am very inexperienced, I feel like I'm getting overwhelmed by the amount of work that comes in. Say we get 15 tickets each day, I'll get about 8 worked on and 5 finished per day. I'm just not fast enough. I did just get a raise but I'm worried I'm not good enough for this job.

Maintenance tech at a factory. Our crew was once nice but is slowly being replaced with rednecks and niggers from the floor. Shit sucks and I will probably jump ship when I finish my PLC licenses training.

Nothing interesting, just like the rest of my life, I'm afraid. I sent a shitload of resumes and took part in a lot of those dumb group dynamics things, never got shit. Family and personal connections are zero.

you are an asset and a force multiplier for your boss, even if you don't see it. otherwise you wouldn't be there. there's a lot of negativity here about working and employers but never forget, you provide them value, they provide you a degree of security.

sounds like an easy place to get burnt out though, if your that overworked maybe drop the hint to the boss that he could do with another set of hands? If he cries poor, start sharpening the resume. learn all you can at the place and start looking for bigger places.

thanks for the kind words user. Regarding my boss hes a pretty cool guy, we're looking for a 3rd body. Initially I was hired for tier 1 (again, no experience just an Associates in infosec and a passion for computers) and they were looking for a tier 2. Its been 3 months and all the tier 2 candidates either suck or want far to much money, so boss said fuck it and decided he will roll with two tier 1s. So we're going to get another fresh one "soon"

did I do anything when i used to jump on them and ride my bike on them as a kid? what about if I whacked the box around with a big stick some? what if I was a 30yo and I did this?

Sewerage pipe cleaner, we go head first sometimes if there's a blockage. I use my Radeon 7 as a heat gun.

>Night worker at a petrol station
Ouch. I've been a committee member overseeing billion dollar projects that involved planning roads and radio towers. I've been a catering chef leading a team of ten people serving hundreds of people an hour. I've worked consulting police and childcare workers alongside private investigators.

Even that was easier the a fucking petrol station. I worked for Caltex Australia and they were absolute scum. Stealing wages and breaking every law and safety measure in the book. To get a promotion there is to be the absolute most pathetic human being imaginable. I really feel for people subjected to this shit especially at night.

Snr Equipment Engineer - Semiconductor Industry.

PhD Student (law) who works two days a week at a large law firm. 1100€ after taxes/month (Germany)

security guard at a banking HQ on weekend double shift (32hrs sat/sun). Dull with mediocre pay, but the school-friendly schedule and piss easy duties make the gig worth it. I've heard fancy jobs are hilariously fucked regarding freedom of movement. There are actual professionals trapped to their chairs and desks by management while the building guard staff are taking hour long poop and lunch breaks, along with infinite smoke breaks.
