MicroLED

reminder that OLED died before it even became mainstread.
reminder that MicroLED is the display technology that will take over the industry.

What's the improvement on total lag, refresh rates, and etc?

did you even bother looking anything up or opening the fucking link in OP?

Attached: 1559338952748.jpg (3840x2160, 1.11M)

No. I don't click on advertisements.

Well what improvements have been made?

it's all in the source in the OP. I already spoonfed you.

>OLED is being retired

Thank god. I can't believe the industry brainwashed people into accepting burn in, ten years after we killed Plasma.

You didn't spoon-feed, or answer anything.
I'll ask again.
What are the improvements if any?

but user, it will be extremely cheap, made by inkjet printers and you will have your entire walls and ceilings as OLED panels that will function as lighting replacing your lightbulbs!

Poorfag here.
Will 27" 1080pee 16:9 be cheap?
Like $200 below

likely zero burnin and (in the future) cheaper panels as they don't have to be made in one whole sheet like OLED and LCD screens do.

Seriously fuck OLED.

I'm glad I bought a local dimming LCD instead, so I can put whatever content I want on it without worrying.

What about lag, brightness, refresh, and color reproduction?

>What about lag,
Same as LCD
>brightness,
1000 nits, brighter than OLED
> refresh,
Same as LCD
>and color reproduction?
Depends on the maker. Sony have the best and most natural color grading.

>What about lag, brightness, refresh, and color reproduction?
it's all in the link

>plasma died in 2009
You retards don't even have a basic idea of what you're talking about.

FALD is still a shitty compromise solution. Enjoy your blooming and haloing or loss of dark scene detail.
>N-Not on my TV!
Yes, on your TV, dumbass. On all FALD LCDs.

I don't want to watch an advertisement, so just tell me.

>Sony have the best and most natural color grading.
Panasonic objectively have the most natural and most accurate colour reproduction in the TV market, both before and after professional calibration. It's not a subjective matter.

>same as LCD
Bring back CRTs already.

Spotted the butthurt Plasma apologist. Still rocking your Kuro and enjoying its gray blacks?

>muh blooming
I don't fucking care, it's the best compromise available until we get micro LED.

Wrong. Panasonic have the best skin toning.

What about contrast, and blacks?

Infinite. Blacks are true blacks just like OLEDs.

Micro LEDs are self emitting at pixel level. But no burn in.

>Panasonic objectively have the most natural and most accurate colour reproduction in the TV market
literally not true, Sony makes the reference monitors/TV's that filmmakers use

Cheaper panels? Does that mean 80 inch quality display for 50 bucks?

>Sony makes the reference monitors/TV's that filmmakers use
So do other manufacturers.

MLED is DOA for now.
Samsung is going the OLED route for TVs also.

No. It just means that Sony has their own panel to sell that's almost as good as Samsung.

>So do other manufacturers.
nah, Sony is the industry standard.

New Blog at uclaut.net/1C2

There are other manufacturers sell reference hardware for broadcast that adheres to the industry standard.

>it's the industry standard
>he doesn't know what that means
retard

>Doesn't understand industry standard

>Sony is the industry standard
Nice marketing, and Sony is not, but they make reference monitors.

MFW
>industry standard
was a term that I memed, and misused on Jow Forums for the sole purpose of fucking with amdfags.

What's with the obsession with burn in faggots have?

I've been hearing the same litany of crap since 15y even when LCDs were literal total washed out garbage people still picked them over Plasma bc "BURN IN"!!111

What a joke

Attached: 1548362393151.jpg (450x300, 27K)

>obsession with burn in
COPE harder

OLEDs for phones are amazing.

I picked staying on a CRT back then, because of the horrible input lag that plasmas, and LCD had.

>COPE
what is there to "cope" about?
You utter imbeciles have endured terrible displays all your life for your insane obsession, while we have enjoyed and keep enjoying the absolute best

Attached: DmxVpsrU0AAxUKG.jpg (1199x1200, 167K)

>I picked

Attached: 1561436420774.gif (640x360, 1.85M)

Yeah but it is too expensive still. You can get a decent openbox oled tv for $650.

Attached: 1563502399413.jpg (800x600, 141K)

>Plasma TV
>Computers
Did you enjoy watching everything you typed being shown to you a second after you where done typing, and seeing the colors fade as you stared on the display?

I'm not defending plasma. Just saying that CRT fags are aids.

>You can get a decent openbox oled tv for $650.
no you can't

>CRTfags are aids
You're just retarded, and CRTs where the correct choice back then.

>back then.
sure, but don't come at me with that shit now, I fucking hate hipsters.

My mistake, for $638.

>now
The original post that you're being a complete faggot about was a post between CRTs, and plasmas.
CRTs where still abundant during that time period.

fuck off

>just watch this advertisement
KYS

>QLED
you know that is not OLED, right?

only $149k

What are you too poor to buy Nippon disp ray forded 1000 times?

>cutting edge tech is expensive before manufacturing is matured
wew really?

290 INCH TV just to put 4k in it as you can't shrink pixels small enough
yeah, see you in like 2038

It's always started out like this you underage retard

Best TV reviewer on youtube

seething shills

>cutting edge tech
>Japan
I'll just wait to see what the gooks, and chinks mass produce for sale.

Shilling? No-one here is going to but a $149k TV. Just stating the obvious.

>can't

tfw no vampire gf

Hope you find one user.

MicroLEDs has nanoseconds refresh rate, panels can go 1000hz+, better color gamut than OLED

I can't wait to get past the OLED stopgap. What is the estimate at this point, 2025 or later?

It's 8k

>MicroLEDs has nanoseconds refresh rate
Thats CRT and OLED as well. It won't really matter if its nanoseconds if it uses Sample and Hold to display its image.

Attached: Blurbusters_OLED_sampleandhold.png (793x6252, 1.14M)

Poorfags telling themselves OLED is shit just because they cannot afford it.

Also, good luck waiting another 15 years for microled TVs becoming cheap enough for you plebs to buy it.

Attached: kek.jpg (460x500, 41K)

Is that TV? Who the fuck still buys, or even watches TV?

It is barely any different. The backlighting is filtered behind the pannels with tons of brightness and no bleeding. Only difference is it doesn't have infinite dynamic range like oled but it is very very high because of the filtered lighting. Qled pannels are not much different visually and don't have burn-in problems like oled. If I had the money I would buy it.

LG C9 is like what? 15 hundred bucks?
Even phones cost more these days.

OLED can't even achieve full panel brightness.

>It is barely any different.
kys you retarded faggot
>marketing name for LCD
>it's barely different than OLED
fucking moron

And? Does that even matter if its most of the needed output?
Nevermind you don't want to go over 200-300 nits if you decently produce whites? And going over that requires a good setup for HDR, which is currently non existing.

>if its most of the needed output
it isn't. and it means OLED sucks ass for HDR content.

>which is currently non existing.
lying about HDR content is not an argument

>SONY BTFO CHINK/KOREAN SHITS

>talking shit about OLED
So fucking dumb.
It's the best technology that you can actually buy. Whether you like it or not.

>10m x 5m
>micro
ok?

my PS Vita has an OLED display and it's fucking amazing, all these years and barely any burns whatsoever.

By using Chink tech from the US.

>barely any burns
so it means it has burn ins? also the Vita OLED sucks ass as it's streaky as FUCK when the screen is dark.

cool, that makes it 2028

Reminder this will never be in monitors at an achievable price
a 21" 4k OLED monitor from Asus is over 2x the price of a 4k 120hz LG C9
If they are charging that much of a premium for OLED imagine the premium for a MicroLED display

>chinktech
American tech. They're American.

>comparing mLED to OLED
retard

>American tech. They're American
The US was pointed out, but I'm not certain if the chinks were citizens.

They've been in the US since the 80s. They're likely refugees from the cultural revolution.

Not him, but that comparison is actually reasonable.
Asus matrices are from JOLED. The main they are so expensive.

>likely
Well let's leave it as chink researchers at US colleges then until you have enough evidence.

you're a literal fucking retard. go read about microLED and what makes it totally different.

>so it means it has burn ins?
a few small spots, yes
>also the Vita OLED sucks ass
stfu you fucking nigger

>Chink led researchers

Naturalized citizenship requires 5 year wait time. Someone who's been in the US for 40 years and teaching full time at a local university is 99% likely to be a citizen.

>hur microLED too big
>hur microLED like OLED

VueReal, the Canada-based Micro LED developer, announced its achievement in Micro LED display production. With its self-aligned technology, VueReal has reached a high yield in Micro LED display production. VueReal will start accepting orders for Micro LED display samples by June 2019.

According to VueReal, its self-aligned integration process is able to meet the alignment accuracy requirement without compromising Micro LED performance. Based on the technique and adaptive patterning technologies from VueReal, Reza Chaji, CEO of VueReal, noted that the company will reveal more key components and Micro LED products within 2019.

The Canadian startup unveiled its first high ppi Micro LED display of 6000 ppi with a high brightness of 10,000s nits in 2017. In addition to 100,000s nit displays, VueReal’s technology also boost display resolution for AR/VR applications.

VP of Device Technology at VueReal, added that “to demo the capability of our technology, we set a team challenge to break our own world record of 6600 ppi (pixel per inch) set in 2017, and we achieved that by producing an over 30,000 ppi Micro LED array.”

Provide sauce that they've been here that long, and are officially citizens.

You forget the most important thing. No burn in.

but OLED is affordable and available. Where can I buy a 65" microLED TV

I don't have their citizenship papers on me. Maybe you can ask for them directly?

>sauce they've been here that long
Look at their linked in profile/university profile.
