Help me fellow Archfags, how do I stop furiously checking for updates?

Help me fellow Archfags, how do I stop furiously checking for updates?
I type yay -Syu at least 100 times a day.
I'm addicted to updates, I need to escape this prison.

>yay -Syu
user.. you know you can just type yay, right?

it's too late for us, there is nothing to do.

not when you're a hardcore updataholic like myself who adds --devel as well to update all them -git packages, too

to be honest, I type name of my script that wraps yay and do some additional work, but for sake of post I simplified

You're using an operating system designed for automation and you're complaining about doing a simple repetitive task. Stop being a brainlet.

I already have cron job checking for updates, but I still can help myself to check them manually

Go outside.

Install Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise Long Term Servicing Channel.

install slackware

Stop being autistic. Short of that, bridge time.

Stop being a cumbrain.

stop being low test

Low test would mean you are unresponsive to stimuli and wouldn't have any problem seeing it, so nice projection.

Don't turn off your computer, always just suspend. You will not check for updates as that might require you to restart and ruin your uptime.

not op, but i don't turn off my computer
i only restart when a new version of linux comes out

Install Debian stable, then you won't have to worry about updates because there won't be any.

what do you do to stop the urge to fap?

Setup a cronjob

its become a reflex. like normies and checking their phones every 2 seconds.

put down the computer (or at least, the OS) for a week.

Create an alias that shuts down / reboots your computer every time you type it. You'll learn out of it eventually.

Install ubuntu

Who is this semen demon?
