Yeah that was pretty lazy. >uploads most of 720p, some 1080p, uploads 720p pack then nothing for 12 hours Not even sure why they bothered since the web-dl is fine and the show isn't even worth it.
Angel Wilson
>Not even sure why they bothered since the web-dl is fine and the show isn't even worth it. ive been going for the webrips and 1080p isnt worth it. slightly better looking than 720p at twice the filesize. they shouldve just did the 720p instead of wasting their time. guess ill just get the last 2 eps somewhere else so i dont have to seed a huge season pack for the last 2.
Jace Ross
Remember when they said Denuvo was finished?
Logan Diaz
yes

Sounds pretty cool

Building a 4 X 6TB Raid10 setup at home to archive anime with, what's the best way to get an invite to BakaBT? Just go beg on their IRC?
I used to have an animebytes account too but it got pruned for inactivity, but with most torrents on Nyaa gotten pruned and Bakabt going private you really need to be a member on a private tracker to download older not super-popular shows these days.
Was thinking of getting NordVPN too, what're you guys thoughts with it? When I see tests comparing it and ExpressVPN, express seems to bench better on speed but when it comes to torrents Nord seems to be doing better (albeit worse than a regular fiber connection).
You don't really need a VPN to use private trackers. BakaBT has an IRC interview last I heard. Your AB account can be re-activated without human interaction on their IRC. But only once.
>You don't really need a VPN to use private trackers
I was thinking of restarting with a clean slate with the whole sadpanda thing going down in case the next site leaks information. The one good thing for me about it going down is that I was idiot when I made an account there back in 2012 with the same username as my old youtube account / current steam profile tied to my real identity. I figure I'd do it properly this time with an account tied to protonmail/random username/VPN.
I think I tried reactivation thing on AB but IIRC they get permanently pruned after a couple of years so couldn't do it and at least back then they didnt even take new applications (actually got my invite in a similar thread to this one on /a/). BakaBT I used to have an account but never used since I just did the google title thing like everyone and their mother so got pruned too, so guess I'll try out their interview after I come back from vacation and start my hoarding.
Should probably also backup my favorite doujins this time around too but don't wanna give 20 bucks to Tenboro since he's being childish af with wanting to take down the site with him.
>what's the best way to get an invite to BakaBT? Just go beg on their IRC? There is an interview channel. It's piss-easy if you know how torrenting works.
>I used to have an animebytes account too but it got pruned for inactivity You can usually reactivate your account, unless it has happened more than once. To prevent that in the future, try to become PU, as they don't get automatically pruned.
>you really need to be a member on a private tracker to download older not super-popular shows these days. Yeah, basically. There's no real reason to seed on public trackers.
>Was thinking of getting NordVPN too, what're you guys thoughts with it? I'm using it myself and I'm getting good speeds. They also offer static IPs, so you can browse the trackers with your VPN on too.
MAM is really getting on my nerves. Every time I find what I am looking for, it's a VIP torrent. I don't need/use the site often enough to build up bonus, goddamn.
Henry Morgan
>I think I tried reactivation thing on AB but IIRC they get permanently pruned after a couple of years so couldn't do it That's bullshit, I got my account back after 6 years of inactivity.
Landon Clark
In HDB how to get into PTP without waiting a year?
Grayson Sullivan
Seed a few 200kB torrents. Game the system
Anthony Wilson
Does Bib do this shit? Or is it more like BTN, hard to get in but smooth sailing? I don't have Overdrive access.
Cameron Myers
BIB is the most difficult site. There are no bonus points. It will never be as comfy as BTN
John Jones
Bib is ez but wheezy and that other faggot is a CUNT
Nathan Torres
Wheezy is Romanian. Go easy on him.
Aaron Powell
bib is like red, upload to survive
Jose Parker
Why do you want into PTP if you are in HDB.
Colton Johnson
>pirating inferior copies of movies >not shoplifting the blu-ray for superior original quality When will piratards learn?
So does MaM have an idle seeding bonus you can just grind up over time?
I joined TL and the first thing I did was find 100 torrents just bigger than 10mb, snatch them all and then perma seed them. It's guaranteed 200gig upload every couple of months, I don't use the site otherwise but it's nice to have. Same for asian cinema with the BON system, except the site actually has content you can't get elsewhere so I end up use it. Right now I get enough BON for 1 day of personal freeleech every 3 weeks which is nice. Not really needed there though since that are so chill with freeleech and upload in general.
You don't want to know how much worse it is on optical media, though.
Isaac Gomez
WheezyWheel? That dude is an ASSHOLE. Fucking piece of shit he thinks he's the shit. Can't stand the guy
Colton Martinez
Wow, you guys must be retards. Which rules did you break?
Easton Hernandez
How do I get on Oppaitime nowadays? No recruitment to be found on ptp, btn, ahd, or ab.
David Ramirez
I'll sell you an invite. How much would you pay? :^)
Matthew Lewis
Do the interview or find a site that isn't blacklisting OT.
Tyler Wilson
Just invite me out of the goodness of your heart. So literally every main tracker? I looked around and it seems like the admin did some shady, malicious shit. Guess I'll waste my time with the interview.
Adam Long
>tfw need to sit the RED, Orpheus, BakaBT and MAM interviews
what the fuck bros I just want to steal things. It feels like I'm tryharding for a job interview at mcdonalds.
RED is the only one that matters, because it's the only one of those with a decent invite forum. MAM one isn't really an interview, it's just "do you understand the rules? OK now what is the word that we put in the text we told you to read?" and orpheus.network/referral.php
Andrew Sullivan
I'd rather take my chances ranking up in MAM for an invite elsewhere over RED. RED seems like a right pain in the fanny. Orpheus I would actually use for music rather than userclasses/invite farming. MAM too since it seems like the one you can actually use vs BIB.
Also desu I don't even need private trackers I'm just doing it cause I can. Back when BakaBT was semi-private I leeched the absolute shit out of it like 10TB of anime I have pretty much every old show I could want now, I can just use nyaa for new stuff. Longterm getting in PTP or whatever would be nice but I'm not sweating over it.
Logan Morales
What is the RED invite forum like? Once I get access to invite forums, is it guaranteed admission to the other top trackers?
Jason Williams
stay away, it isn't worth it.
Thomas Campbell
If you plan on taking everything slow then you'll be fine. Just make sure you're in the sites with decent invite forums for when you're ready to get into sites like PTP.
Julian Taylor
Yep.
Robert Watson
PTP recruits on RED. But the requirements aren't easy.
Kevin Bailey
It's decent I guess, any particularly good sites like PTP need Elite+ though
Jonathan Allen
Orpheus seriously isn't worth it. Nothing is getting seeded and more and more torrents are being removed every day.
>is it guaranteed admission to the other top trackers? yes, but it depends on the times they recruit and the requirements they have.
Caleb Sanchez
>There is still no proper tracker for hentai and doujins oppaitime
Christopher Ross
Anyone know anything about blu invite forums?
David Ross
Tried it again with still no luck > Your account could not be automatically reenabled! You've been added to the support queue, please wait for assistance.
IIRC these support queues lasts for hours so guess I'll come back to them later when Americans/euros are all awake
Luis Murphy
>bakabt fuck i wish i didnt join bakabt. i had the optiont o join ab instead. now ive got a huge account (10 ratio) and no invite forum to show. i cant be stuffed fucking around withother trackers to get it. like red is such a waste and mam got me nowhere.
Parker Bennett
Is RED the replacement site for what.cd?
Owen Foster
Wait 10 years and we'll get back to you.
Lucas Turner
Doesn't bakabt have a bunch of OST collections that AB doesn't though?
That was my experience anyway when I was using both sites before bakabt went private
Parker Gomez
Yes, but of the different types of trackers music ones are losing relevance as time goes on. Streaming is having a far greater effect on music piracy than movies/TV/books/software.
William James
maybe, im not in ab so idk. desu though i just use nyaa most of the time. i cant think of a single thing that nyaa + baka doesnt have that another site would. let me know though
Jack Roberts
True, Spotify is killing music piracy and Netflix is to a large degree killing TV piracy. Honestly it would be the same case with anime and manga if Japs weren't lazy fuckers to outsource to a bunch of greedy shit companies which gives like 3-4% of the income back to them instead of doing it themselves in the first place (yes I'm looking at you Crunchyroll).
>Netflix is to a large degree killing TV piracy Not when there's 20 different streaming services holding paywalls for each of their properities. Piracy is going to have a renaissance in the next few years because many people are not going to pay monthly 10 bills to watch 10 shows.
Levi James
for me its deezer. has a nicer library than spotify imo. im honestly suprised how much deezer has. its crazy
Jace Hill
Not to the same extent. As another user pointed out, the providers are all trying to get a piece of the pie, it's going to be cable 2.0 eventually. Individual shows and movies are less numerous, more expensive and much less frequently used. File sizes are considerably bigger so the very real problem of bandwidth caps hurts more people. Speed is also an issue trying to stream HD content for many. SO it's more expensive, less accessible and just overall more difficult to legally get that content vs piracy.
Meanwhile with music, it's cheap and for the majority of people the 40m tracks on spotify is more than enough. Having spotify on your phone, tablet, PC, sonos or whatever is a piece of cake. Trying to self manage a 50k FLAC collection relatively painful. FLAC itself is a meme for most people too. 320kbps mp3 is a meme. 192 is more than enough. Also if you DO want obscure music, or FLAC, it's not difficult to get it without using a private tracker. Another point is ripping your own music, anyone can do it and do it well. Ripping video adn creating a decent encode is nowhere near as simple.
I don't see music trackers ever dying, but they are already the least useful.
Lincoln Diaz
>wait a week to take my red interview >fail because I got confused what a flack was fuck this gay elitist tracker they fuck you over for the smallest shit just to keep you out of their secret club
Oliver Hughes
good. stay out, hothead.
Mason Murphy
>implying youre in if these threads are any indication its impossible to seed without buying upload so I glad I dont have to deal with the stress kid
Nicholas Scott
I'm in everything, hothead. Not my fault you can't do a middle school level test. I'm sure you also fail at employment.
why tf are .264 encodes so common why doesn't anyone use Vp9/opus how long until av1 bros
Connor Martinez
if you want vp9/opus, go to youtube
Carter Wright
youtube doesn't use best quality when encoding
Christian Edwards
>Not when there's 20 different streaming services holding paywalls for each of their properities. They are unifying into behemoths though. And even if they don't, there will probably be a unifying evolution of the concept of "Cable TV" when the "TV concept" is delivered by ISP instead of by a TV Tuner Box.
Disney bought FOX for its huge IP catalog which will be added to the upcoming disney streaming services. Eventually, everyone will be on some sort of cable TV or streaming service once all the free TV channels become clogged up with product advertisements aimed at social welfare users who buy or shoplift corresponding products at walmart or kroger.
>fail interview >they fuck you over small shit to keep you out Ha, people get mad at employment interviews too. They just want to join our company and then find some excuse to declare disability and add a legally-forced company pension to their collection of social welfare benefits. In the real world, people who don't care about the details aren't going to be the better participants. That why you have a private site to begin with because "hotheads" should go somewhere else with low or no barriers to entry.
The problem is that private sites aren't really private enough to avoid various forms of "social credit" radar. You've done well enough (for now) if you can avoid sites like MYLIFE.COM cataloguing you.
