bant is also irony but yes
irony isn't a mental illness
ADHD instead of autism thanks
beg to differ
luckily you aren't an authority on mental illness
how the fuck
I feel like a lot of people tend to confuse the inherent feelings of vague dissatisfaction, lethargy and and the feeling that your existence is pointless that everyone experiences with depression
ok , I am satisfied and lethargic
it's because of the modern romanticism of mental illness putting them on a pedestal
some people are really depressed though and their suffering gets downplayed because of these people who say they're depressed just because they want people to feel bad for them
i have psychosis since birth AMA
> inherent feelings of vague dissatisfaction, lethargy and and the feeling that your existence is pointless that everyone experiences
>that everyone experiences
Do they? Depression is a spectrum. Mild depression is a thing and a lot of people have it. It often goes undiagnosed, though people with it are often functional enough anyway.
>these people who say they're depressed just because they want people to feel bad for them
dosen't this also downplay people who have depression by making them look like they are just acting depressed for attention. It sounds like your reasoning also reinforces the marginalization of the mentally ill

what is pdp
yes that's what i just said before that
>some people are really depressed though and their suffering gets downplayed because of these people who say they're depressed
sorry if that wasn't clear i know you really suffered depression before.
>mfw one of my personalities has depression
i feel sorry for him
lol
Sorry auto correct. PDD persistent depressive disorder. What norms call chronic depression. You know one of those illnesses everyone has but nobody has a diagnosis for? Better yet if you hear someone say they've been diagnosed with multiple personality disorder you know it's bullshit because it's actually DID (dissociative identity disorder).
oh oops I misread what you were saying. the pedestal part threw me off and I read it in a different context. I thought you meant that due to the romanticization of mental illness more people were acting depressed and that lead to it getting normalized so that the actually depressed wouldn't be taken seriously .
that everyone is spying on me, and its constantly happening, even if i know its all fake, its still there.
Every fucking time
>manic depression
this board is fucking chaos, anybody with MDD would quit it in a week
>Better yet if you hear someone say they've been diagnosed with multiple personality disorder you know it's bullshit because it's actually DID (dissociative identity disorder).
they could have been diagnosed a long time ago , or they might say multiple personality disorder because that term is more commonly understood.
oh ok, why do you think people would care about you that much to spy on you
I've found that most of the time they've never had a diagnosis. You either got papers or you don't. There's not really an in between.
because of this video
youtube.com
well that is kind of what i'm saying but i'm saying that's why the romanticism is a bad thing. people don't know when people are actually depressed anymore so it's hard to get them the help they need
fuck off
The idea of "actually depressed" is a dangerous idea because it can imply that some people are just acting depressed while not being depressed, which makes it so some people with depression are not taken seriously
idk im confused now lol
