It's not new knowledge for someone who knows a little bit about consumer electronics, or the average fag/g/ot that Apple stuff is notoriously difficult to service. At the same time, Apple parts are easy to find and is cheaper to get repaired at a third party stores because it's just one product line and the sales volume is pretty high to help with availability.
I wouldn't buy an apple product out of principle, but if I had an iPhone, the repairs would be cheaper and service time would be lower than if I drop and fuck up my current pocophone or previous midrange Motorola phones I had. iPhones are like chinkpads in that regard, the sheer volume of sales ensures a decent supply of parts anywhere Apple isn't trying to shut third party repairs down.
