>gaming cpu

Will it run at 4.7Ghz consistently with proper cooling?

XFR is XFR. Its one or two cores only, only for a few ms at a time, only if thermal margin is available, and only if the workload allows.

wtf i like asians now

Moar Coars

Test

>heh, not bad kid, you made me use two of my cores

Yikes and misinformpilled

Thats how XFR works, user. That is how it has worked from inception, and that is how it still works now in every single Zen2 chip.

>b-b-bbut AMD said there were no finite limits
There are. Under no circumstance imaginable will you ever see XFR frequency achieved on all cores, or even four cores. Voltage and power requirements are too high. It will literally never happen.

which tab of the windows emoji picker did you get that from?

>CAN'T EVEN GET 3900X, 3950X WILL GET RELEASED

holy fucking shit amd fix your shit.

Yeah I'll just buy that cheaper 16-core from Intel

Who said anything about Intel, retard.

You won't find a cheaper 16-core on the market unless the sales price for the last-gen Threadrippers are still holding.

750 dollars is a steal price for 16 cores you dipshit.

No it is not. 750$ for a fucking chip. Go pay up if you think so fuckboy.

Was going to get the 3800x but I think I'll wait for the 3950x and pair it with a good X570 board. In the meantime, I'm waiting for a Sapphire 5700 XT Nitro. I may buy the Sapphire Nitro 590 50th Ann Edition, only because I love the shroud.

Then find a cheaper better performing 16 core you dumb bitch.

I just sent back the 3800x. Don't believe the hype.

Which chip do you prefer? I really like my 2700x but a 15% IPC bump is enticing, along with slightly higher clocks for the 3800x. Then again, I'm getting the 3950x no matter what.

64 x86 cores for $125

But they fucking suck and you're better off with a GPU at this point.

>tfw i'm waiting for the 3950 non x because i'm not gay

>16 cores
overkill in it's purest form
you're only starting to need more than a quad core right now

I will proceed to fill those cores of yours with my sticky, juicy workload until you bust.

>16c
>gaming
Regardless of gaming performance, it's a workhorse.

>acting as if Intel doesn't do the exact same thing with turbo
If you want full speed on more than a couple of cores, you have to do it yourself.

Jesus Christ could you be more of an AMD fanboy shut the fuck up

No one mentioned intel. Someone asked a question, so I answered it. Stop being so defensive.

still sucks significantly less than 16 core poozen in any heavily threaded x86 workload

Don't reply to corporate cucks like him. He's only here to shill.

I could've sworn the 3900x was originally 10c/20t and 3950x 12c/24t
this is some mandela effect shit

I remember when AMD was top dog for a moment and priced their best consumer chip for a grand, year later they shat their pants and slashed it to 450 bucks. Won't be surprised when I see people defending them next year when that happens again.

I want one of these for my server. I intend to pair it with 4x 16GB of ECC memory. HOWEVER, I recently returned my 3900X and X570 because of the huge problems I was facing overall with the platform. So I really hope they fix everything.

Your memory sucks, bro. Get another brain or something.

where can I buy a better one

My last system was a 7700k and before that I rocked out a used Core2Duo, fuck you.

Shouldn't have drink the AdoredShill coolaid, bud.

Check your local mall

you fucking woot m8. I've yet to see an intel cpu that dosen't reach the boost (on all cores!) that is written on the box. meanwhile, my fucking ryzen 3600 has yet to boost to 4.2ghz on any core at all. highest I've seen is 4125mhz for what was probably 5ms in duration. And I've tried piss easy games like half life 2 which leaves all cores at a temperature of ~45°c so don't give me this bullshit.

I don't even watch any hardware-related youtube channels
I'm not in the US sadly, but would putting actual marbles inside my skull work

I have been running my 3600 at 4.2ghz with a fixed voltage of 1.250v. the only thing that actually crashes it is the prime95 meme trash bench which produces loads no other software ever comes close to. I did 2h cinebench20 non stop stress test, 4h x265 slow preset ffmpeg encoding, and about 40 hours of gaming, with no crash. the boost is just flawed.

Why is there no rule34 of her ??

Uhhhh dude.

thats pretty neat (besides the crashing). What cooling system do you use?

M-mommy, NO!

>a "gaming" CPU beats Intel's top HEDTs in productivity and costs 3x less
Can't fucking wait. It will be glorious.

>I've yet to see an intel cpu that dosen't reach the boost (on all cores!)
The only one that does this currently is the 9900KS. It's overclocked from the factory.
