>AMD B & X chipsets and Intel Z chipsets support XMP
>B-die is EOL, stock is limited

GPUs based on current pricing
1080p
>RX 570/580 8GB - Can be found on sale/used for cheap. Look for 570s which are >1240MHz boost
>(GTX 1660TI @ ~$230/Vega56 @ ~$270) - higher fps / more demanding games
>RX 5700 - higher FPS
1440p
>RX 5700 - standard, 75-100FPS+
>RX 5700XT - higher fps
2160p (4K)
>RTX 2070S OC - budget option. Turing scales better into 4K than Navi does.
>2080Ti - best for 4K but expensive

>Navi AIB models come mid-August. 5700 non-XT blower is alright, due to low power.

so which ones are fine to use?

What is something to watch out for when upgrading RAM?
Let's suppose I have 2 sticks (2x8, 3200hz), can I buy, let's say, the same 2 ram pack and just add them to make 32GB RAM or what?

Do you have a fetish for msi or you can't read that it's lottery to get them working with zen2?

i'm going with zen+ tho

Is it worth it to upgrade from a 1070 ti to a 2070 if I play at 1080p only?

Id go with gaming plus, the vrms are good enough for even a r9 3900x

that's gonna be a yikes from me, dawg

If I'm using the BIOS MSI released on the 10th for the b450 tomahawk, is there any reason I should I update to the one they just put out if everything is running fine for me

>early adopters can suck on deez
as someone who bought a 1600 at launch, i am dissapointed

>bought a msi b450 gaming plus and 2600
I am having buyers remorse and regret not getting into thread ripper.

How's this monitor? I see it's on the recommended monitor list but I'm not very familiar with the brand.

benchmarks for the games that you will play
same with gpus
it doesn't matter if a gpu does 10000 FPS on a game that you won't play

Where are you from? Europe?

Reposting x570 aorus elite or pro?
I may or may not eventually OC my 3700x

Need to flash my BIOS. Confused on the directions. According to pic related, I need to download and install the AMD All in 1 driver, flash the BIOS to 1.80, then flash to 3.50? I have an RX 5700 so not sure if the directions are specifically for people with on-board video.

daily meme post.
seriously whats wrong with it? is it just hate from the amd crowd?

>EVGA product page for 2070 Super XC Ultra gaming
>minimum recommended PSU 650W
What the fuck. I was gonna buy a 650W PSU anyway, but I was under the impression that that was plenty of power. Might have to go with a 750W one now to be safe.

What are the signs of your CPU needing fresh thermal paste

Higher temps than last year with same HW

Ok boys, not gonna lie. Deciding on a X570 motherboard is a fucking nightmare for me.

These are my requirements:
>PCI-4 support for future memes
>ALC 1220 audio
>Bios flashback
>DC memory topology
>Non-retarded fan design (not directly under the gpu, shitty fan quality, etc).
>Semi-passive fan
>Stable bios

Boards I'm choosing between:
>ASUS Strix-F
>MSI Pro Carbon
>Aorus Ultra

I can get the Strix-F for significantly cheaper, and it has some extra features that I really like, but apparently it doesn't have fan stop, and asus bios seems shit for AMD. MSI's bios seems fucked as well, but they have really thought about the fan; good design, good placement, and semi passive. Gigabyte seems to have decent bios, and good features, only bad thing is the shit quality fan, being really close to the gpu.

Thoughts? Amd I staring myself blind at the reports about bad BIOSes for MSI and Asus? Are people just experiencing the same general amd issues as everyone else because they didn't update their bios, and then attributing that to the mobo vendor?

To be honest you sound like anything less than the $700 xtreme is going to disappoint you horribly.

I'm thinking about buying this PSU. It has a $20 rebate on newegg. Do I get the same rebate if I buy it from amazon? I don't see any rebate information on the amazon page.

They have the exact same VRM but the tomahawk has better VRM heatsinks (sourcr: the exact same pic you posted)
If the price difference is small, sure why not but with a 3600 you'll be perfectly fine with the gaming plus (and even a 3900x)

is that 20, 200 or 2000 mbps?

20mbps

Not the one you're responding to but the gaming plus had the same VRM as the tomahawk, just Ym with a lesser heatsink.
It's still decent enough and with a stock cooler air will bow directly at the vrm heatsink so I would''t worry at all

I don't care if the cpu, while idle, is "supposed" to jump to 1.5v and the temperature is "supposed" to jump to 60c
I don't want it to do that. I'm much happier using windows power saving mode, sitting at 0.9v, and all my fans off

For any eVGA fanboys out there, are the Hybrid cards any good or just memes?

thats shite right? thinking of getting a powerline adapter and using hooking it up with cable

are you far from your router?

youtu.be/VMbUXKsMKKA?t=8m7s
how based is this

Where the hell can I pirate Windows 10 to install on my new rig?
It's been years since I actually pirated something

>go to install my noctua fan onto the am4 backplate
>'wtf this shit don't fit'
>check the website
>need a new mounting kit for am4 mobos
>'k no problem ill just order that real quick..'
>7 fucking day delivery
wow fuck me for falling for the noctua meme. now my mobo is open and just sitting there in the box with the cpu in it. im salty right now bros holy shit

Attached: 1516840689510.png (1685x813, 728K)

everything is next day delivery except the ram kit
piratebay is still up

Attached: AAAARRRRRGGGGGGHH.png (1070x601, 507K)

Are the cheaper asus gpus worth buying? Was looking at this one in particular:

asus.com/de/Graphics-Cards/DUAL-RTX2070S-8G-EVO/

Im in toilet using my phone

>everything is next day delivery except the ram kit
the hell you say it has to ship from austria

What would be a good PC for someone who's into sports?

This is from my laptop. For me, it's fine, I don't need more speed and Im using this internet for 2 years long.

Attached: f.jpg (1221x423, 107K)

Download it legally and for free from Microsoft. Then, when it prompts you for a license number, get one from ebay or whatever for a couple of dollars.

Just use the stock cooler?

7-9 day wait and I have to pay for it, might as fucking well be

>falling for the AMD meme
You only have you're self to blame

Attached: IMG_20181029_155417.jpg (637x601, 46K)

>want to get a mobo for a 3600
>msi max series not out yet
>all the b450s and x470s probably have BIOS fuckups
>all the x570s are expensive as fuck and have chipset fans
The closest thing to being reasonably priced is the msi x570 gaming plus but that fucking fan seems so unnecessary. is it time to exercise even more patience?

Attached: 1564340745992.png (1280x850, 252K)

>Don't trust sites which rank CPUs by arbitrary, obfuscated scores (eg userbenchmark, passmark, cpuboss)

You're stupid. If you sort userbenchmark's CPU page by overall performance it almost perfectly lines up with 99% of game benchmarks which is their stated purpose.

>quad-core isn't multi-core

why can't I install windows on a HDD or a SSD? why does it have to be a cd or usb?

Just got an AIO and overclocked my Ryzen 7 2700 to 4.02 GHz. Thanks for recommending amd to me guys.

yeah it’s good

thinking about a 3700x even tho I don't do any "prosumer" activities. my main worry with a 3600/3600x is multitasking. I like to play videogames and have Netflix/Youtube on my other monitor. what benchmarks accurately replicate/test this? streaming benchmarks?

whats an AIO?

Never got a noctua product because i'm sick of installing air coolers. Went water cooled and it's way better.

you're mom

Installing an air cooler is way less of a painful experience than installing an AIO or god forbid, a custom loop? Not to mention that you get comparable performance at a fraction of the cost.

>you're mom

Attached: Underage.jpg (1280x720, 87K)

putting the fans on is a pain in the ass and it's bigger, i guess it's just personal preference.

the 3600 is more than enough for multitasking as you're describing. I played rainbow six with a pentium g4560 and a 1050ti at 60fps ultra while watching youtube.

I know 2080s is overpriced but I have a real hard on for 100+ 1440p and the 5700 XT being midrange seems like it would lock me out of that in the future. Also I really fucking want to play Dying Light 2 and it seems like Nvidia does better with open world memes than AMD.

Would it just be smarter to go 5700 XT and deal with it until some kind of 5900 XT comes into existence?

Can the B450 Tomahawk handle a three slot GPU and what (if anything) will be blocked when using one?

Can I upgrade my 2200g to a 3200g without changing the motherboard?

Depends on your motherboard.

A320M, no oc

my Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 didn't have this problem :^), no disgusting poofans either

sounds like a perfect recipe to go Intel.

user who returned her 3900X and X570 in exchange for 9900k and Z390 here. Ama

Attached: PC-Spooky.png (798x559, 43K)

you'd need a better motherboard buddy.

I don't have that kind of money, dingus

How much did intel pay you?

>3.6 Ghz
any higher and you'd burn down the house

Airfry some tendies in your case while your at it.

How's a 970 sound if I just wanna spend around $100+?
I use a 550ti now and it gets me by for the most part so I feel like the 970 is more than enough. The most taxing game I play at the moment is Euro truck simulator
