One desktop pc and two laptops. I don't need all them but it's nice having them.

>be the family tech guy
>accumulate technology
4 desktops, 2 laptops. Only use one of each.

I have one laptop...

1
No

This is me unfortunately.
One desktop and one t400. But I've got 2 pieced together gaming desktops, 2 servers, and 2 other laptops I've inherited. I keep telling myself I'll sell them...

Well I just broke one of the two I just picked up so I guess that helps with the number.

I need to add the other (i5 3470) and update the ryzen which is now a 2700.

Attached: speccy.png (3961x1053, 427K)

I have my phone, my desktop, my smart tv, my laptop and a tablet. Also a DS, 3DS and PSP if those count.

you always need more

6 desktops
5 laptops
Probably not but I like having them.

3 laptops, soon 4 as my mother got a new one. 17" with gpu is my desktop replacement until I get a proper computer, one is bedside media computer and 12" thinkpad is for uni.
Any ideas what i could use an old asus core2duo for?

>1 desktop
>1 laptop

Passed my old desktop to my dad, and the last laptop was used until the hinges snapped off.

PC as my main rig, a Mac for iOS deployment, a MacBook for working on the road and one of those old Microsoft tablets for watching Netflix and porn

1 desktop, most of the parts for another new desktop
2 ThinkPads, 1 rMBP and 1 surface pro 3

Two laptops
X250 - main
Chromebook r13,- selling to mother since she has no computer
Average desktop, r9 270 gpu with a first gen ryzen 5 non x

Also pi3b+ which i got a year ago as my first "computer"

To be fair i could survive with the x250 and be comfy but i play vidya and want to draw/record/stream and i need more than a dual core i3 for those tasks.

I plan on using the pi as a dedicated shitpost station that runs 24/7 or website host or security camera when i buy the required tech.

>0 Desktops
>9 Laptops

1 gaming laptop
3 thinkpads
3 netbooks (which are completely fucking useless)
1 laptop with a broken screen that I use for a server
and a Dell that I use for work

2 desktops, 8 thinkpads

>1 desktop
>1 laptop
>will make an htpc with old parts after upgrading desktop
>2 smartphones, if that counts as computers
simple

>0 desktop
>5 laptop

Of those, one of them is my gaming machine (MSI GS60), 2017 macbook (company issued), Acer 5560G (my old laptop before I bought the MSI), 2014 Asus (forgot what model. It used to belong to my sister before she bought a macbook) and Thinkpad T430 (it was like 50 bucks so whatever)

>do you need do many computer?

Honestly, I don't but it's good to have some variety since I often go for business trips. If I have to go to some third world shithole (South Africa, India, Michigan), I usually brought the thinkpad or acer. Otherwise I'd carry my business laptop or my main laptop

I have 3 desktops (one issued by my work exclusively for work on a separate internet line, I'm only counting it because it takes up fucking space and I hate it) and 3 "active" laptops. I say active because I don't really throw working ones out thy just get formated, cleaned, battery removed and put into storage. I have a number of rPi's but I don't really count those as they are doing bullshit work like NAS or pihole.

I've got 2 new ones

My main PC (Rysen 5 2600, GTX 1050, 16 GiB ram
A trash lenova Laptop

And 2 old ones

A Commodore 64 (dosent work)
And a Commodore Amiga 2500 (works needs boot disk, 1950 monitor is in for repairs)

One desktop, one laptop, one gpd win for when my sons are old enough, one windows tablet with a fucked charge slot
Three smartphones of differing age, one is basically a tablet for my 3 year old, one is still ok but no 4g, other is my main device since I read so much a Mi Mix.

2 desktops, one is a server, four laptops and an intel compute stick and old rpi.

3 laptops, a desktop, and a server. I use them all except one laptop.

>how many computers ya got Jow Forums?
fuck if I know

Slob user?

>Slob user?
ya

1 desktop
2 laptops
1 rpi

At least you can turn these desktops into home servers.

I calculated 11 total, and my phone is probably more fast that each of them.

I have like 60 Thinkpads which I am hoarding because older ones keep going up in value, everything from 486’s to xx20 series. Also a pile of Apple ][‘s and Macintoshes, GRIDs, Compaq Portables, and so on. Probably 120 computers all told.

1 desktop
ryzen and cheap shitty novideo GPU for muh vidyas, runs gentoo

2 raspberry pi's
zero w for portability
a 3b for flashing chips

2 phones
one smurt phone with lineage
a hacker phone with a keyboard

3 laptops + 1 for parts:
T200 tablet because it was cheap
T500 corebooted with 1920x1200 screen as my daily driver
E6400 because it came with intel ME disabled from the factory (pic related) but it has an novideo graphics card so I had to get the T500
W500 for parts, it used to be my daily driver but then I corebooted my T500 and didn't feel like corebooting this one as well

Will get a T420 for school and portability and because thinkpads are SO GOOD AND SO DAMN CHEAP

Attached: based and redpilled.jpg (4096x3072, 2.84M)

>E6400 because it came with intel ME disabled from the factory (pic related)
Bruh, a newer latitude here with same sticker. ME is enabled though. Only vPro AMT not available

With old Core 2 Duo's you would disable it by removing the ME firmware part of the BIOS. It's disabled for good.

Attached: file.png (550x105, 23K)

I only use my desktop computer.

I have 4 more desktops that I don't use (older builds) and a laptop I don't use either because I barely leave my house.

I would get a T440p/s, the T420 is heavy.

>T440
>that keyboard
Would rather break my hand by lifting the laptop than by typing on it.

Quick rundown on pic?

Just saying the sticker doesn't really mean "ME is neutralized/removed" nowadays; the Intel ME is still present (no HAP bit set), just no AMT. The latitude mentioned had a non-vPro ready CPU which is probably why it has that same sticker, probably for indication of blowing of a different set of FPFs on the chipset.

Also, did Dell remove the ME firmware for you or did you do it yourself? Coz the sticker probably doesn't carry much meaning

Two desktops, three laptops, and five single board computers.

desktop, laptop, server
my laptop spends 99% of the time on my desk so idk

too many laptops...

Attached: 65879.jpg (4032x3024, 3.84M)

...And one desktop

Attached: 865794.jpg (4032x3024, 3.12M)

Found out about pic related. Basically, only 6 "ME LOCKOUT" sticker actually flips the ME AltDisable/HAP bit. 3 "ME DISABLED" only disabled Intel AMT. 1 and 4 are vPro operational for businesses.

Hence only has no ME on his E6400 because of the age of the platform(whereby no AMT, no ME), and not because the 3 "ME DISABLED" sticker means a disabled ME that is relevant for newer systems. Not even sure if 6 is available for the new Optiplex/Latitude models, although Dell did sell laptops with HAP options for a period of time not too long ago.

2 desktops, 2 laptops, two vintage systems that I don't use but keep around for aesthetics, and a Rasberry Pi. Do I need them? Absolutely not.

In active use?

1 Desktop
1 laptop
1 HTPC (living room)
1 HTPC (Bedroom)
1 stick PC on kitchen TV
1 8 bay (4 bays occupied) home server/NAS

I know i can use some more "appliance" type devices, but i just kind of prefer using real computers. the HTPCs are a mix of intel NUCs and Ryzen APU ITXbuilds

>do you really need so many computers?
You ever fap to a half dozen videos of chicks toying their assholes at the same time? Yeah, I'm thinking I need them.

1 laptop and 1 smartphone.
I wanted to get a third computer, a raspberry pi, but I'm poor.

Attached: 5a689cb300d0efa6028b4eda-750-563.png (750x563, 390K)

>my phone is probably more fast
yeah but your phone isn't retro
also, I have other computers that absolutely are faster than your phone:

Four. Two desktops, two laptops. I actually use all of them. I use the two desktops when I am at home, mostly for testing purposes. Each one has dual booting, with Windows 10 and Archlabs on one, and Windows XP and Hackintosh on another. Works fairly well. The laptops are set up fairly similarly, albeit with Windows 10 and Debian on one and Windows 7 and Gentoo on another. Still use them for testing, but at work.

>too poor for $35

Unironically yes. Also, that's like an xbox huge amount of the banana dollars they use in my country. Also, I wanted the 4 GB version. Also, the customs taxes to get anything into this shithole is like a million percent.

What the Fuck can I do with a old asus netbook?

Around 5 or 6 but I really only use 1 (or 2), my laptop and my Rpi pihole.

post the stats faggot. Chances are you can upgrade it to a decent web surfing machine. I'm bringing up a 2007 Inspiron to modern specs right now.

This is genious, I'm going to start doing this from now on.

A X200 for me
A X230 for my wife
A W530 with eGPU as desktop replacement

>how many computers ya got Jow Forums?
Desktop, gaming machine, NAS, router, HTPC, server, laptop, so that makes seven. I have a box full of spare parts so I could knock together one or two more with a cheap piece or two.
>do you really need so many computers?
who the fuck do you think you are to tell me what I do or don't """need"""? I want a lot of computers, that's the only justification necessary.

about 3 desktops that are actually built. I could probably build another 2 with parts laying around. I collected thinkpads for a while too so I have like 5 or 6 of those. I only use my x230 now, but I used to daily x41t (great screen for the time), then x60s (amazing laptop for the time), and then t420. I like the t420 as an on the desk laptop but I prefer the x-series for all-around use. my x230 is getting a bit old, dunno what I'll get next, maybe a ryzen thinkpad

Attached: IMG_3440.jpg (1600x1200, 211K)

HTPC. I can never go back to not using a PC on my TV. smartshit is tolerable for throwing up normie shit for your friends or streaming from another PC but the control of a high-powered (relatively) and customize-able system just can't be beat. using dual monitor with your TV is also really nice, you can watch stuff on a big screen with misc bullshit on the smaller one closer to you.

you could get by with a GPU upgrade and stick with ryzen 5. just probably don't go over 580 level.

why no desktop, user? you travel a lot?

while this is too little information to determine what specs your particular model has, the fact that you thought this was good enough means that you probably can't handle upgrading it anyway.

I've got my desktop, a touchscreen toaster netbook that I sometimes take to class (even though I almost always prefer to use a pen and paper) and on long bus rides, and a low-end 2016 gaming laptop that I thought I was going to sell now that I have my desktop, but I'm going to keep it around as a portable workstation. Just gonna replace the 5400rpm hdd with an ssd.
Speccy related, the toaster has a 2c/2t 2ghz celeron and 2gb ddr3 with a whopping 20gb hard drive

Attached: speccy desktop and laptop.png (1071x414, 53K)

first gen-netbooks and ones with really shit AMD CPUs aren't even good enough for web browsing now since the web and browsers are so bloated. I recently tried and it was just an exercise in pain. so you should just use those systems like rasp pi's, as machines that run background shit or light emulators.

who knows
i sometimes use my ibm 380ed (looks like picrel)
but it's not very useful anymore and the battery is dead in mine

Attached: c74s5o1bi78z.jpg (3264x2448, 844K)

One Lenovo AIO at home and 2 work laptops, one Dell and one Thinkpad.

2 Dell laptops
1 IBM ThinkPad
2 Dell desktops small form
2 non-working laptops
1 IBM Aptiva desktop Win98 I refuse to get rid of.

..just forget it, she doesn't exist.

Six. Only really need three, but I can't have kids, so they're my babies.

one at home and one on the go

2 desktops, one for everyday and media and one for personal projects

3 Laptops, work, traveling which i don't mind loosing or getting broken and one for my personal projects on the go.

Adopt a White orphan?

desktop
laptop
tablet
phone

2 old laptop that barely works
A x220 for "serious computing"
A chink ( ezbook) that I use for uni
A old desktop with openbsd on it
A rapberry pi with 9front

3x - t400
1x - x200 tablet
2x - x220
1x - x220 tablet
3x - t420
1x - t430
1x - x1 carbon (1st gen)

based thinkchad

>work laptop
>personal laptop
>blackbox laptop
>desktop
>home server

1 but from previous upgrades through the years I have enough parts to build 2 more if I had the cases and needed them for whatever reason

1 Desktop
3 Laptops (Surface pro 3/HP G6/Old HP Compaq)
Pic related is the old hp compaq, just sits in my cupboard but occasionally turn it on and use it for very light browsing (basic forums etc.)
