that's because
>you're doing it wrong

werks on my machine

>itoddler cant understand plex

idk like 2 people did greentext in this thread already OP, it's not broken

Always werks just fine for me and my clients. There's a reason its popular.

Plex is crappie. I can't believe i payed 80 bucks for it. u cant fucking force it do bind for a specific ip. I did 30min troubleshooting because with IPv6 support it binds to
[::]:32400
localhost:32401 without IPv6 its binds to 0.0.0.0:32400 wow thats so nice if you run your server remote & headless. use emby

>ITT: Dumbnuts can't into networking.

I run a full ass homeserver with plex with like 8 people using it, sometimes up to three streams at a time and it has never NOT worked. Plex is fucking great.

Just use an nginx reverse proxy or port forward or VPN. You are a brainlet.

>enabling ip6

Sure

Yes because it is broken

I have to restart the plex program on my server every god damn day.

>Fan doesn't keep spinning after she stops spinning it.
This triggers me.

What's a cheap power efficient plex client that can transcode?

>tfw emby chad

Clients don't transcode they support the codec or they don't. Server will transcode.
thats why i have to reset my FireTv PLex app regular.

I meant server. it's 4 in the morning.

>Want to play content on a different subnet than the server
>Have to go out to the internet and back in
Plex is for literal fucking babies

Literally never had a problem with it.

user, I've used plex as my primary media server for several years with no problems at all. If you can't figure out how to port forward, that's on you.

Subtitles never work, they clearly just don't care since it has been a problem for years with plex.

anything with Quick Sync Video? honestly use a client which supports your media. only reason for transcode is internet bandwidth

autism is a common aliment. I should know, as I have a touch of it.

What should i Watch next?

>What should i Watch next?
Your onions consumption.

you sound like the guy bashing on nextcloud from the other thread. you both don't have a fucking idea about how to properly configure a server

This. Why the fuck does anyone think they need IPv6 for a private network? Leave that shit to ISPs and multinational companies to bother with

Plex default behavior on my machine.

*always works*

user, Blood-C is so bad. Watch it with a drinking game.

Sounds like your client is fucked up. Subtitles ALWAYS work on my setup.

*takes for-fucking-ever*

Works on my iPhone™ and MacBook™ ;^)

Works for me. Try Jellyfish, it's good too.

Jellyfin

My plex has been running 24/7 for 3 months with zero issues.

Transcoding is s piece of shit when half of my library is 4K HDR in HEVC, but when I can DirectPlay on some decent hardware it's alright

>le orange meme arrow

>ass homeserver
What is this?

Gundam Wings

I've been running Plex constantly for ~4 years now and I've never had any major issues.
Although, I've recently migrated everything to Linux and I'm a bit annoyed that the package is t managed, I don't like having to dpkg every update.

I prefer Universal Media Server
Sweet & Simple

[::]:32400 says ipv6 but its actually also listening on ipv4 so it should work fine, yer tarded.

It works perfectly for me, maybe you're just doing it wrong?

Install Gentoo.

:(

This. VLC is perfectly able to download the right subtitles from OpenSubtitles. I have no idea how Plex don't.

One week friends if anime is as good as manga.

Better just is

Charlotte, because it's a trainwreck

Its gotten insanely good at it. You used to have to use plugins to get it to grab shit for anime series.
