Anyone here speak Irish?
(I'm not fluent but I speak a good bit and I'd like someone to talk to in our country's native language)

I'll try again: An labhraíónn aon duine anseo Gaeilge?
(Níl Gaeilge líófa agamsa, ach labhraím an chuid is mó den theanga, agus ba mhaith liom labhairt le dhuine éígin inár dteanga dhúchais féín. Go raibh maith agat)
Sorry for any grammar mistakes in advance
An bhfuil cad agam dul go dtí an leithreas?
>Haven't looked at Irish since my Leaving Cert have mercy on my spelling
Cymru am byth!
Ah, tá sé sin go maith. Is é "cead" an focail amháin mícheart. Tá an t-ádh leat!
Also see: "léígh anois ar do scrúdpáipéar na treoracha agus na ceisteanna a ghabhann le Cuid A *beep* "
Does that inspire a sense of dread in you still?
Also I'm doing that Leaving Cert this year, help!
Ní labhraím an teanga sin, ach baineann tábhatach le gach teanga Cheiltigh!
Beidh sé beo arís le daoine cosúíl le mé agus dhuit féin!
I'm part Irish on my dad's side but don't know how to speak Irish.
I speak some Manx, another Gaelic language
To be fair, not many people do. You ask any Irish person here and they wouldn't be anywhere near fluent at all. Maybe a few odd sentences. It's one of those zombie languages nowadays - it's native to here, but it's being kept on a hundred year life support by our education system. It's mandatory to learn here unless you have a learning disability but nearly everyone gives it up completely after school, because it is taught in a completely boring way. I'm in my final year of schooling now - I don't know what I will do with the language when I leave.
I've heard of it - but all I know is it shares its name with the famous breed of cat. Is it similar to Gaeilge at all? I'm assuming it's similar to Welsh more but I don't know.
wow they really are letting a lot of those muslims into ireland it seems

I am from up north so I was forced to learn it for 3 years but I dropped it rather than doing it for GCSES. I cant say I remember much of it.
