The only communist country that made tolerable computers is China and even then China's current system is hardly communist. Most of the USSR's computers were copies of western shit, hell even all the "good" cars were western cars designed in the 50's, updated to survive Russian roads, and then never updated again.
There are still some times when living in the USSR would be preferable; as I said, if you're an NPC then it's heaven which is why there are so many boomers in Eastern Europe who want it back.
