>Post at least some attempt at a parts list
>List your uses, e.g. Gaming, Video Editing, VM Work
>For monitors, include purpose (e.g., photoediting, gaming) and graphics card pairing (if applicable)

CPUs based on current pricing
>Athlon 200GE - HTPC, web browsing, bare minimum gaming (can be OC'd on most mobos with the right BIOS)
>R3 2200G - Minimum 30-60fps gaming. The stronger 3400G sells for $150. (R3K APUs OCs better than R2K)
>R5 2600 - 60fps+ gaming CPU with great value
>R5 3600 - Great gaming CPU
>R7 3700X - Overkill gaming CPU
>R7 1700X - Budget video editing
>R9 3900X - Professional tasks

RAM
>Do not use a single DIMM. 2 sticks for a typical dual channel CPU
>CPUs benefit from fast RAM; 3200CL16 or Micron E-die ("AES" in P/N) recommended
>AMD B & X chipsets and Intel Z chipsets support XMP
>B-die is EOL, stock is limited

GPUs based on current pricing
1080p
>RX 570/580 8GB - Can be found on sale/used for cheap. Look for 570s which are >1240MHz boost
>(GTX 1660TI @ ~$230/Vega56 @ ~$270) - higher fps / more demanding games
>RX 5700 - higher FPS
1440p
>RX 5700 - standard, 75-100FPS+
>RX 5700XT - higher fps
2160p (4K)
>RTX 2070S OC - budget option. Turing scales better into 4K than Navi does. OR upscale from lower resolution with RIS
>2080Ti - best for 4K but expensive

>Navi AIB models come mid-August. 5700 non-XT blower is alright, due to low power.

General
>Yes, adaptive sync (free/g/sync) is important for gaming

Avoid Corsair PSUs

Clean your case.

Attached: 1502244805014.png (1922x1345, 2.06M)

Don't fall for the 16gb ram meme when upgrading

are burgers this retarded? if they are built by a quality oem its good

64gb minimum

I've had this one for nine years and ten months running for like twelve hours a day everyday.

Attached: 850TX.png (700x508, 130K)

>16GB of RAM? How are you going to avoid dipping into pagefile with 32GB? You should absolutely consider getting 64GB.

Corsair does not "make" PSUs. It rebrands them from OEMs and sells them under their own name. Since some time ago, Corsair switched from Seasonic to Super Flower as their PSU manufacturer, your PSU may be very likely be manufactured by Seasonic.

128gb or bust

>3900x doesn't fucking exist anywhere
new time-line please

Okay so what's the equivalent of Corsair SF ITX Series?

Just KILLED my mobo because i tried to overclock with amd. AMA

they seem to be made by Great Wall and are pretty good

Attached: DSC_3506_S.jpg (500x341, 39K)

Is there Jow Forums approved PC case list?
I'd like to get a Full ATX tower since I got a new desk and also want to OC a little.

Attached: 1537729603165.jpg (2048x1422, 1.04M)

don't you have anything else to do?

why do you fucks keep removing the pc partpicker saved builds from the op ?

who needs 'em?

thoughts?

Got the closed p600s revelry
Very sexy looking and silent

When mb with proper eeprom arrive ?

>newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.3885225
... did you price them out individually? lmao holy shit dude

cute boy
mediocre prebuilt

I'm not paying 130€ for a PC case.
Thanks for the advice, though!

A pc case is not just for christmas user.

don't buy some shitty prebuilt. if you don't want to build a pc yourself, find someone that can do it for a fee. many shops offer it as a service.

I understand, but I'd rather pay 60-80€ for a midrange case and 50€ for a good CPU cooler, instead of blowing 130€ on just a case.

>amazon.com/dp/B07N3W1T21/?tag=pcpapi-20

Why is this 3600 MHz CL17 RAM so cheap? Is there a catch?

Because it's just hynix ICs, nothing special. Probably better off clocking it to 3600c16

Should I rather go with 3200 CL14 or 3600 CL18 Samsung b-die?

Why? I'm thinking of buying the RMX 850W.

Buy seasonic

Bought a Metropolitan Vacuum DataVac Electric Duster 500 on sale for 60$ new. Best investment I've made for my PC in a while.

>patriot
here's your catch

I'm using two sticks of RAM. If I need more in the future and populate all 4 RAM slots, will the performance hit from not being able to use dual channel be noticeable?

Ok /pcbg/, what's the best manufacturer for each product?
>Case
?

Noctua.

Also Noctua

AMD atm

MSI?

NVidia - MSI/Zotac?
AMD - ?

So these threads now have a Seasonic shill?

You realize Corsair also uses Seasonic as well right? Dumb ass.

>amazon.com/Gaming-VG32VQ-Curved-Monitor-FreeSync/dp/B07VFKSGRW/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=ASUS TUF VG32VQ&qid=1564949786&s=hi&sr=8-1
It's out. $130 over MSRP, but it's out.
Still no reviews.

I've seen 3600CL17 for $110 a few times, so that's not that much cheaper.
Go for it.
I wouldn't get b-die for Zen2. Not worth the cost unless you're doing an extreme high end build. 3600CL18/CL17 performance is really good as it is and you heavily go into diminishing returns after that.

Wtf do you need 850W for?
3600+5700 only needs 400W. Why are you buying housefire components?

Where at?

lmao only on their high end models.

You won't be able to clock them as high as you can clock 2 DIMMs.

>lmao only on their high end models.
So the argument isn't "don't buy Corsair" but rather "avoid cheap quality shit" which applies to everything.

linustechtips.com/main/topic/1045610-new-psu-tier-list/

Sapphire for Amd gpus

>Mobo
>MSI
After the Ryzen 3XXX BIOS shitshow? Doubt it. Only MSI mobos are having SO MANY POST issues.

>Wtf do you need 850W for?

3900+5700XT and 6-10 HDDs

why the fuck do cases have no 5.25 bays anymore?

also on that note why the fuck do most cases only have space for a couple of 3.5drives these days?

Attached: 1546103853133.gif (556x720, 564K)

You can go with any mobo manufacturers desu. People are bitching on all of them.
GPU AMD: PowerColor or Sapphire

why the fuck are vegas such piece of shit and why are they getting shilled so hard?

16 or 32 gb of RAM for games?

>>CPU
>AMD
Weak bait

what?

64gb

Attached: 1562531769317.png (1302x688, 73K)

I understand your frustration
I've considered making my own case.
because they're cheap and have HBM a technology that should be utilized more in the future.
>SSD
XPG
>GPU
budget AMD until next year disregarding manufacturer. I anticipate some major competition soon.
>PSU
Corsair RM series
uses audiophile grade caps made in Japan, very clean power, also very efficient

Attached: 1562529363131.png (1474x876, 630K)

>because they're cheap and have HBM a technology that should be utilized more in the future.
They may be relatively cheap, but never in my life did I need to trouble shoot and RMA for weeks and weeks.

i just cut holes in my case, i got a bequiet pos that only had 2, i just made template and took my ultrasonic cutter to it.

I just want 4 HDD's and a couple of SSD's
A 5.25 card reader and a physical fan controller

is that too much to ask modern case companies?

Attached: 1562538610348.jpg (615x707, 197K)

24 :^)
> never in my life did I need to trouble shoot and RMA for weeks and weeks.
alright so what's the problem
yes, apparently.
what RAID configuration are opting for?

16GB is enough right now and for the foreseeable future.

If you have the budget and want to use your built without upgrading for a long time you can go 32GB now, but you should be aware that you are not going to have any substantial benefit from those extra 16GB in the short-term.

If your budget is not that high you are better off spending that extra money on a better CPU/GPU that will actually benefit you right away.

any 5700 non xt owners here?
are you having any issues. Ive been reading reports of green tinting, crashes and artifacting.

>alright so what's the problem
when there is a medium-high load on the gpu the entire system hardlocks.
Thats the current one, the previous one had artifacting after a while in games.

>why the fuck do cases have no 5.25 bays anymore?
because cd and dvd are obsolete

>6-10 HDDs
You trying to do a full backup of sadpanda or sth?

You sure about Corsair PSUs? They are always trashed here, and seasonic being jizzed over every time they're mentioned.

a lot of the Vegas I saw looked like they were cheaply made for bitcoin miners. it's important to be discerning sometimes.
false
this might be of interest
I've heard of them being faulty online as well, but the rm750x I'm running now that I got for $60 or so refurbished is great. I'm only pushing it to ~70% of its rated wattage though.

Attached: file.png (812x876, 171K)

I just like to hoard stuff...

I got the rm750x as well in my new build. Haven't been able to test it because my 3900 isn't here yet. Good to hear it's a good buy.

if you really need a optical drive, you always have the possibility of usb connected optic drive
i've never used my own optical drive for the last 8 years

>Case
Fractal Design / Lian-Li
>Mobo
depends on use case. Gigabyte should generally be avoided though
>Memory
Crucial / G.Skill
>HDD
WD / HGST
>GPU
Nvidia - EVGA / Zotac
AMD - PowerColor / Sapphire
>PSU
SeaSonic / Super Flower

Looking to stream using a 1440p 144hz monitor (1080p output)

Best cpu and gpu for this?
I'm thinking 3700x and 5700xt

please respond

>a lot of the Vegas I saw looked like they were cheaply made for bitcoin miners. it's important to be discerning sometimes.
Nitro and pulse are cheaply made?
Then again maybe they are slapping on used vega dies on them or something.

Corsair uses a bunch of different OEMs, their high-end units are actually quite good but stuff like the old CX series was trash compared to something like Seasonic's budget units.

ye I just realized hasn't got one, the full tower variant has two tho
on occasion I buy used CDs or DVDs that's the only real use it sees though
Sapphire has a lot of hype behind them, when it works hey great but otherwise there isn't anything to be done. same with MSI. I've heard people go on about the experience of MSI failing on them, but my MSI motherboard works swimmingly other than a few quirks.

I got a Galax/KFA2 2070 Super. Please tell me I don't dun goofed and they're a reputable brand. I don't upgrade often and I'd like my components to last me 5 years at least.

>Galax
literally who?

This is good to know. I see that user always making "don't buy Corsair PSUs" comments without any reason. Good to finally understand he means low end ones.

Are the RM and RMX considered low ends?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palit_Microsystems parent company

sounds about right

They are A tier according to the ltt tier list.

literally depends on the model, not the brand.

>when it works hey great but otherwise there isn't anything to be done.
what do you mean?

Pretty sure anything they also make an "i" version of is considered high-end.

BROS NO POST, NO BEEP. WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED

the fuck is raid?

Fan spin? Lights?

They're a multimillion dollar company producing for an abstracted consumer. They don't have a personal relationship with you, they aren't your neighbor, and in the end they're assembling technologies that aren't patently their own. some degree of misconstruction is to be anticipated.
redundant array of inexpensive discs
if you're going for capacity and you've got 4 HDDs either you're running a datacenter or you're doing it wrong and could have just gone with 1-2 with larger individual capacities.

r8 my shopping list
Reusing drives and case so they're not listed here.

Attached: list.png (1221x914, 123K)

Man I've been running 4+ drives in my pc forever and never even heard of it

Today I learned I guess

canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=7_158&item_id=137218
This any good?

wtf are those prices
RMx 1000 watt for 61 dollars
I wish I could have gotten a Vega instead of a 580 at that price
not

Ignore the prices, I'm buying mining parts so they're cheap.

What do you need a 1000 watt PSU for?

It's the cheapest decent PSU I can buy right now.

good build then
from miners
is bitcoin dead?

8 HDDs

All spins, all rgbfags are on, graphics card is on, hardisk spins

This is why I want muh POST code readout, did it work before?

Is this case any good?
us.coolermaster.com/product/Detail/case/MasterBox-Series/masterbox-e500l-with-side-window.html
I don't find any reviews of it.
And if its shitty could you guys reccomend one in the same price range with one 5,25” bay?

If I took the OP image and added in "Boba FET" and posted it to reddit how many upvotes would I get? I need a cost/benefit analysis of spending 30 seconds in paint.
