you like cancer? try gnome!

Xfce is the only sane option

Go deepin your mom

I haven't used linux in years. Gnome 2 was pretty functional, I don't understand the clusterfuck that gnome 3 is.

Xfce is the gnome of today.

i3 if you don't like touching mice (or is that mouse)... fuck knows...
>i3 if you aren't a mouse faggot.

So the Distro is manjaro. what de or wm do you guys use?

i3 is nice.

KDE is the best

Mate's good

So, can you also say why XY is good, or why XY is bad?

If you're autistic try something like awesome, bspwm, i3, or openbox. If not, try KDE or Gnome.

I like KDE because features. I can't live without chaning activities and virtual desktop anymore. And lots of tweaks, custom settings, etc. I can build my environment the way I want it.

try them all. pick the one you like the most.

Whats the best out of i3, bspwm and awsome, and why?

DE for brainlets.

>Webdad

Vinny is that you?

What the f is webdad

i3 (gaps) simply because everyone uses that

It's the Grand Dad of DEs

Damn. Its crap dude

what font is that?
i like how iits rounded squares like eurostile
thx.

I dont really think that this is a reason to use a wm

I dont know. It is from the manjaro architect setup tool

is there any graphical interface that tries to actually do something different?

seems like you can summarize all into

- start menu window esque

- shitty gnome with left and top bars and a stupid dock

- tiles

I am a full screen program user and I can't stand things that are outside of the task that I am performing being on screen, it gets on my fucking nerves

It's terminus.

Well, talking about DEs, you can remove pretty much everything from your view with KDE. Titlebars, frames, etc.

Now, with only WE, I think it has less hassle to remove.

The non cancer is dwm

Wtf is dwm?

xfce or KDE. Funny how I liked gnome 10yrs ago now i absolutely love KDE. Ill try xfce when they do a big update but for now KDE is the best choice.

I3

yeah, auto hide that idiotic taskbar

I think i will try using I3
Even i would still say to myself that i am a Linux noob but hey...

xfce if you want to actually get something done. i3 if you're mildly autistic. Openbox if you want to spend a few hour ricing it.

kde if you want a user friendly experience

KDE,xfce,mate, budgie.

So i dont really like the look and feel of xfce ( but i think technically U can rice it)
Doesnt KDE eats Ressources. I use a T430. I dont know if it can handle that

fpbp

I wouldn't call changing the theme/icons to something that looks modern like numix and Arch "ricing". It takes less than five minutes. xfce that comes with some distros like manjaro or MX Linux look decent out of the box.

Ok i cant decide between kde and i3

This.highly customizable but at the same time simple af.would recommend/10

dwm
yikes, check yourself

lxqt

stumpwm

DWM is really autistic but also very practical. I configured and compiled it like 3 years ago and never changed anything since. Works really well

i like gnome, been using it for 2 years now
xfce isn't bad either tho

No fucking clue what webdad is, go for that.

mate or xfce configured properly

>cancer
GNOME
>desktop environment
KDE

fpbp

openbox

unity

kde is my favorite, but in the end everythings the same shit

i think more than kde has virtual desktop. everything has it

You literally described Gnome, except you only used Gnome on Ubuntu and now assume that’s what Gnome is.
