Likely accurate, but it's not like Linux doesn't deserve hate.
Linux is a huge monolith kernel. Thanks to the kernel itself being SMP, there's huge complexity, which leads to unpredictability and bugs.
Crashes, security issues, data loss, peaks of latency, they're all a consequence of Linux's design.
The only design that can yield a truly all-purpose operating system is the microkernel multiserver design.
Google knows this, and thus is working on its own, Fuchsia.
If you don't want Google's thing to be everywhere soon, you'll do well to support the true alternatives. Genode, HelenOS, Haiku, Minix3 come to mind.
Linux is not a competitor. Linux is a train on a dead track.

Don't you mean xir/xemcon?

If I were to stop using Google as a whole, there's few things I'd miss but somewhat crucial.

So I don't really think I can leave.

Search engine, sure I can drop this. Although, it'll be tough. Gmail, I can drop it, whatever.

There's no alternative to YouTube. Then we go to really hard things to leave:

GMap, what? Apple maps? lol. There's nothing that can replace it.

Then Chrome. I've used it since 2008. I can't just stop using this browser. It's not viable, because I don't wanna use FireFox, I don't wanna use Brave (LMAO), or (Safari)...

They want to control everything.

>boomer who cant learn anything different or live without his TV

Why did google disable intel managemwnt engines
what is google hiding

Underrated

Why the fuck is zircon made in

C/C++/Dart/Go/Rust?

Thats a lot of bloat

Dude chrome is shit
Like a steaming pile of it
I'm amazed anyone can live with it
>2015+4

Needs more Javascript

what about Android?

I guess I can give FireFox a better chance...

openstreetmaps is a viable alternative to the google maps themselves, though not the app unfortunately [maps.me and osmand are good doe]

firefox is really fine idk why you have an ish with it

vapourware

MS also tried to replace the NT kernel with singularity. The whole division was scrapped.

>C/C++
You can't develop an OS without these dumb goy.
>Dart/Go
You can't develop an OS without using your own language, how would that look?
>Rust
Actually suitable for developing an OS.

good, because I hate linux (and BSD) just as much. And it's very unlikely microsoft will ever make something decent.

This thread is about kernels, retard.

>BSD has no kernel
>microsoft never made a kernel for windows

>Thanks to the kernel itself being SMP, there's huge complexity, which leads to unpredictability and bugs.
Why's SMP more complex? if anything treating all the processors the same, having one shared memory, etc. should reduce the complexity, no?
I can see why it leads to unpredictability though, I guess.

>Crashes, security issues, data loss, peaks of latency, they're all a consequence of Linux's design.
what design choices are at fault here?

not really contradicting you, am just ignorant

I’m writing an OS in php

GOOGLE IS FINISHED AND BANKRUPT
