The problem is I decided to choose military police as my 'specialization' (or whatever it is, I forget) and I don't think I'm in shape enough to manage it.
Need to get on that grind and fast, and the icey weather isn't helping with my running.

6 months is the shortest amount you can serve, but if you are selected to be MP then you'll be serving for 9 months.
Unless you are chosen for leadership training (AUK) then your service time will be 12 months.

You are going to be asked what sort of "specialization" you want during basic training, plenty of 6 months options to choose from.
