Has anyone here tried this out yet? ESRGAN is pretty amazing with photos and someone made a Vapoursynth implementation. Obviously it's too slow to use in real time.

Forgot to add this part in the Windows Builds, OP.

Frontend: mpv-net.github.io/mpv.net-web-site/

what this player has to do with trannie agenda?

nothing. It's mostly the "pedo media player."

Nothing, but the last thread died early, so OP tries to keep this one alive via shitposters.

It certainly didn't the last one.

mpv.net is cope.

mpv.net is bloat. I went back to using mpv and I'm running Windows.

NAPOLI, NAPOLI, NAPOLIIII FORZA NAPOLI, NAPOLI, NAPOLI!

Can someone answer why this was such a bitch to install on windowze?

I mean I got it done eventually but why did I have to search github for so many builds?

just pick the most recent.

Should just gone with mpv.net, user.

Attached: mpvnetplayer.png (983x598, 19K)

mpv.net is garbage.

It is now.

Attached: mpvnet_openjpg.png (722x766, 808K)

I don't know, mate. I just visited mpv.io, saw the installation section, downloaded the most recent git build and let the installation script handle file associations.

How do you install SVP with with it? Compilation instructions are straight but with lots of issues.

reddit.com/r/mpv/comments/buhyxb/tutorial_smoothvideo_project_svp_for_mpvnet/

Just use chocolatey

or just use mpvnet

Huh. It's just a zip. Unpack and run.
You want an installer or something?

nigger faggot retard

Im trying to watch 60fps 4k video in mpv on a vega56 and i7 860, open source drivers on linux. Getting a lot of stuttering, is there a config that can help improve performance? Or do I have to upgrade my cpu/gpu to watch 4k at 60?

Is mpv using your igpu ir dgpu?

I dont know how do I find that out?

How I change the default screenshot folder? All shots go to my /home/user and I want something like /home/user/images/mpv

Attached: 1125899.png (1113x634, 662K)

Oh great. Another wojak edit. How original.

You can change it with --screenshot-template or --screenshot-directory
mpv.io/manual/master/#options-screenshot-template
mpv.io/manual/master/#options-screenshot-directory

What's your current config? Do you have hardware decoding enabled?

Any way to rotate the window? Say I wanna flip a vertical video to the side, or vice versa.

I wanna bind it to a key.

What is the best terminal to use with --vo=tct? I have only tested a few thus far.

>urxvt
Playback always corrupted.
>mlterm
Only works in 256-color mode and even then its playback is only ok-ish.
>lxterminal
Also only works in 256-color mode. Better playback then mlterm though.
>st
Very choppy playback. Borderline unwatchable.
>Konsole
An oddball. All terminals fuck with the aspect ratio, but Konsole does it the worst (16:9 -> 4:3). Also takes a considerable smaller font size to get the same amount of details as other terminals (which also hurts its performance).
>XTerm
Surprisingly decent. Everything from this point onward is actually usable.
>qterminal
Produces less fucked up lines compared to XTerm, but slowly starts dropping frames after a while.
>GNOME Terminal / Tilix (perform pretty much the same)
Overall slightly better than XTerm. Not perfect, but pretty close.
>Kitty
Surprisingly meh for what I expected. On par with GNOME Terminal / Tilix.

read the how to install section here: github.com/rossy/mpv-install/blob/master/README.md
also put mpv in your program files folder, or at least a place where it can stay and won't get in the way of anything

It works. Thanks.

Attached: 1560022867313.png (1000x689, 758K)

Forgot to add:
Kitty is the only terminal to display the correct aspect ratio and might perform better for smaller font size (I only tested with 9 pt), that's why it's still the best one I've tested.

Have had pretty much the same experience.
Just tried alacritty, was similar to gnome terminal.
No clue what would work better.

ctrl+r cycle_values video-rotate "90" "180" "270" "0"

alt+h vf toggle hflip

alt+v vf toggle vflip

do I put this in the input config?

I mean you could have just tried. But yes, keybinds go into input.conf.

didn't work, although I just straight pasted what you wrote into it.
also using mpvnet

Might be an mpv.net bug because it works here on regular mpv. Using shinchiro.

nvm I'm retarded I didn't actually do the ctrl+r thing.

also thank you.

It also works in mpv.net, which by the way, uses shinchiro's libmpv.

We know, try reading the thread.

Termite seems pretty alright for me at least.

why powershell of course

What is there to "install"? Extract zip and open mpv.exe with your video file is hard? Drag/drop? OpenWith? People have never heard of those concept?

Is mpv actually a good music player? How does it compare to cmus?

I have trouble understanding where to put the lua scripts in windows. It's pretty clearly stated in the manual for linux, which I would prefer, but not really an option for this particular machine.

I put the scripts folder into %APPDATA%\mpv where the confs are, but it seems not to find it. Also tried adding
script=C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\mpv\scripts\autoload.lua
into mpv.conf, but still doesn't seem to work.

For me it ranks between Konsole and XTerm. Drops quite a few frames on my machine, but perhaps I fucked something up while compiling. It behaves pretty wonky in general.

I know you guys feel the constant need to mention mpv.net, but could you at least pay a little attention to what the current topic is?

I just /scripts/file.lua in the same folder as the exe and it works

It depends how you want to have your library organised, I use cmus for playlists and browsing while I use mpv to shuffle or play albums the whole way through. mpv is capable of doing pretty much whatever though

no

>I just /scripts/file.lua in the same folder as the exe and it works
Actually I tried that too and it would not work still.

mpv.net has autoload already included.

Attached: mpvnet-autoload.png (1030x785, 82K)

Cont.

>Terminology
Just terrible. Only supports 256-color mode, yet drops frames like crazy. Would deserve to be last place, if it weren't for urxvt.
>LilyTerm
The same as mlterm. Only 256-color mode supported and similar performance.
>Termit
The same as lxterminal. Only 256-color mode supported and similar performance.
>MATE Terminal
Very few line fuck ups (less than Kitty), but more tearing and very slowly but surely starts to drop frames.
>Sakura
Like Konsole it alters the aspect ratio quite a bit. The same number of line fuck ups as Konsole as well, but also more tearing and starts dropping frames after a while.
>Xfce4 Terminal
Comparable to XTerm in terms of quality, but drops a few frames here and there.
>Yakuake
The first terminal emulator without noticeable line fuck ups. Unfortunately it alters the aspect ratio to the same degree as Konsole and you occasionally notice a bit of tearing.
>Alacritty
The closest thing to perfection. Very few line fuck ups and compared to Kitty it supports a slightly smaller min. font size, before starting to drop frames.

create a 'portable_config' folder in the same directory as the exe. put the 'scripts' folder there. and all other config files.

I don't see a single tranny

>Looks good in st
The size of your terminal window is a huge factor. I always maximized them on an 1080p display, which is why many terminal emulators started struggling.
I can say one thing though, even with a small window there shouldn't be differently colored lines between the individual rows.

>maximized them on an 1080p display
Okay, I see your point
I'm still impressed though, because I didn't know this was a thing

Attached: mpv.png (1922x1082, 159K)

Yeah, it's pretty neat.
>LOLWUT
Those are the remains of the line fuck ups I was talking about. Sometimes a row just doesn't show up properly (misplaced by the terminal it seems). In the display area those wrong rows get replaced immediately by new ones, so you only notice how a line "blinks", but they will slowly fill the surrounding area.

the """greatest media player""" is endorsed by trannies? how about fuck you and VLC master race.

keep seething. your Very Lousy Code has nothing over mpv.

Can someone recommend a good config for interlaced video?

deinterlace

Make sure to use the --really-silent and --no-terminal-status-line (or whatever they were called, writing from memory) so that only the actual video is being drawn, it helps A LOT. Works pretty much perfect for me in Konsole, but I haven't tried lowering the font size yet. Also, I have a rather beefy pc.

I see. So mpv's normal terminal output caused the misplacement of the rows. --really-quiet makes a huge difference. Thanks user!
Still not sure about Konsole though. The misplaced lines actually covered up quite a bit of tearing as I noticed just now and there's still the issue with the weird aspect ratios (perhaps something wrong with the stock config?). Not that it matters as long as it works for you.

I'd check the details, but I'm currently phoneposting on vacation. I don't think I've had issues with aspect ratio, but last time I used it was months if nit years ago. I remember though that running it in tty looked kino as fuck.

Have some off-road dashcam footage I'm playing as a demo in our store. Want it to wiggle around like an unstabilized world star video. Is there an MPV configuration solution?

Any command to maximize the window? I mean maximize =/= fs

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Table_of_keyboard_shortcuts#Window_management

any way to bind a key to refreshing a livestream?
sometimes streams get fucky and the only way of fixing it is restarting the stream, it'd be convenient with a key that just refreshes/restarts.

github.com/4e6/mpv-reload

gotta be honest, mpvnet user on windows, no idea how to apply this.

F5 write-watch-later-config; loadfile ${path}
write-watch-later-config is for if you do it on a youtube video so it saves your place, but it shouldn't affect livestreams.

Read the instructions.

There are install instructions on the Github page. I don't use mpv.net but I assume it works the same way as regular mpv.

so I just don't include write-watch-later if I don't care about it saving my place?

yupp this worked perfectly. No idea why a lua thing would be necessary for something that is solved this easily.

How long do I have to nag on the mpvnet devs for them to allow us to disable history?

FUCKING PLEASE I DO NOT WANT HISTORY SAVED. YES I WATCH PORN FUCK OFF:::
