B BUT Jow Forums TOLD ME AMD GOOD, INTEL BAD

how is this possible, is crysis single thread

>is crysis single thread
hmmmmm

>gayming
have sex incel

Can i run this game on Intel HD 3000?

crysis only can use 2 cores, and only uses about 10% of the 2nd core

What do you think? Minimal settings were "Pentium 4, 1 GB RAM, Windows XP".

>57 fps
Literally unplayable.

yes

brainlet here
would increasing the resolution also increase the fps in this case?

yes user, the more load you put on the hardware the faster they become..

no
the point of using 1080p and a 2080ti is to make sure the only bottleneck in the system is the cpu
it highlights the performance of the cpu alone since the gpu easily handles the load

Its VERY poorly multithreaded and was designed for much older architectures. It was released in the netburst era so it uses no modern CPU features and probably uses the Intel compiler Intel got sued for at the time.

Thanks user. That sounds like having a turbo in a car.

The expectation for future CPUs at the time was clockspeeds in the realm of 10GHz, so it goes without saying that multithreading wasn't exactly a concern.

you know what?
intel should use heavy rain as their main benchmark.

>probably uses the Intel compiler Intel got sued for at the time
cope

i bought this game during summer sale for like a dollar n i cant figure out how to get it to run

>crysis 1 optimized
Warhead was actually optimized to handle multithreads. Crysis 1 just was sold and gave cash to a stupidly overpriced and complex engine enough to prove they could make a game.

That's a console exclusion you bellend.

Same way an E8400 would blow the shit out of a Q6600 for the longest time with games like these. Only difference now is that a Q6600 can still game and an e8400 will just chug/not even launch shit

OP BTFO

We live in strange times.

why are we using a shitty made game as a benchmark?

Yeah, a game released 12 years ago clearly should have been designed to scale to 32 core CPUs. Obviously.

I just watched this video and the video creator spent minutes complaining that he couldn't run old games at 300 fps with motion blur enabled because "old games only look good if you use a hack to enable motion blur and then run it at 300 fps"
then he showed footage of how it's "supposed to look" and it was blurry garbage

holy shit fuck digital foundry, how do those frauds get views

Post the video, want some laughs

obviously you need a high refresh rate monitor

motion blur is such a retarded meme
