i just tried all this shit and it didnt help.

the thing is i just loaded this screenshot up on my phone and the fonts look smooth from my phones screen. however, the exact same screenshot has jagged text on my monitor. why the hell is that? like, the screenshot i posted that you guys are seeing probably looks way smoother on your monitor than mine.

nobody on Jow Forums has any tech ability. theyre just faggots

1. Open terminal
2. defaults write -g CGFontRenderingFontSmoothingDisabled -bool NO
3. Restart

made it worse

I dont see you offering a solution you fuck

Install Gentoo

lmao Jow Forums unit never change

then change -bool NO to -bool YES and learn to use basic technology faggot hick

use switchresX

Stop using it scaled and set it to default, faggot

Fuck off itoddler, I only use GNU/Linux.

Google the native resolution of your model of monitor and set it to that, Jesus.

I work as a senior soc analyst and use macOS and Debian ^_^

>text looks fucked and not smoothed
>27"
>1080p
That's why.

then fix OPs monitor issue faggot

what does that mean?

You can hit option and click on the radio button i believe and show more advanced options in the display settings.

Ive used 27" 1080p monitors at work for years on a mac. If you dont sick your face directly into the screen its fine and legible
