Finally, fucking got NBN and now downloading heaps of shit

Finally, fucking got NBN and now downloading heaps of shit.

Fuck life feels good, boys. I finally escaped my previous 3MBPS speed.

I've been on cable internet for the last 3 years. Solid 115mpbs down, never seen it drop below 110. However my upload is only 5mbps.
I think I'd rather you connection if it's super stable.

So far, seems solid as fuck both upload and down. Been shredding the internet on torrents and Steam.

My 50/20 nigger

Fuck life's good.

Porn in 4K here i come.

Maybe by 2030 you'll have gigabit.

>telstra

reckon it's true that aussie internet is dogshit

Are you the australian fag from yesterday?

How did you do it? I thought your apartment had only copper cables?

No I'm not that faggot.

Here's my speed test. Get like 13mb/s on steam

>5mbps upload

Yikes, you can keep your 100mbps down.

We posting bikes too?
It's fucking shit, especially when multiple people are trying to access my Plex

>got 500Mbps but i don't need anything higher than 30Mbps DL
>tfw my ISP keeps increasing my speed free of charge but i don't notice any changes because everything on the internet has bandwidth limits
the only situation where i noticed a difference was when downloading from IPFS and torrents from private trackers

Why not? bikes are technology right? Have you asked telstra to up your upload?

Attached: 20190805_143546.jpg (3024x2896, 3.87M)

Nah, it's a limitation of the cable connection. Something to do with the exchange. Last year they bumped it from 3mbps to 5.
I was thinking of getting a 675R as my next bike, but the 636 looks pretty attractive too.

That sucks
> was thinking of getting a 675R as my next bike, but the 636 looks pretty attractive too.
I was looking at both bikes before my purchase, Daytona 675 didn't come close to the handling, feel, or 4 cylinder engine growl or acceleration feel once at 8k.

Daytona 675 is still one of my favorites though.

cable company increases the download but upload still remains paltry. good enough though.

>hey guys look at me

are you gay?

>mum wont let me buy a motorcycle
>baka

Your ping is pretty shit for telstra bro? What type of connection are you on? FFTN FTTC FTTP? I'm on FTTC 50/20 plan and I get identical speeds but my ping to the Telstra server is 3-4ms

9ms isn't shirt at all, whats your mental damage?

>still on *DSL
>not getting NBN coverage at this house until estimated early 2020
>rental property so am moving in November
>getting 1mbps down, .5 up
It'd be a shit thing to solely prioritise, but I've unironically been asking about NBN coverage in the houses I've been checking out.

A week ago I jumped from 25/2 to 940/35, it's incredible

>tfw

painful

Is this you brandon?

>tfw OP here
>tfw already over the speed

Attached: 8e8.png (600x730, 102K)

Yeah, speeds might be average, but at least my upload isn't capped.

Fucking kill me

>tfw rural Australia
>tfw stuck with Telstra 4g monopoly
>tfw NBN never

Honestly Elon Musk is my only hope at this point for decent internet.

>NBN was supposed to arrive 2017
>Pushed back to 2019
>Now pushed back to 2020
Fuck me.

> I finally escaped my previous 3MBPS speed.
Damn user, even back in 2000 my adsl was 4mbps.

rekt

shit compared to me

That just means you're testing to a server not far away, or with few network interfaces in-between.

my history of internet connection speeds is
64kbit -> 128kbit -> 640kbit -> 1.5mbit -> 30mbit -> 50mbit -> 150mbit
now i'm waiting for 600mbit/1gbit
meanwhile people 5 kilometers from me already have 10gbit connections

65 burger bucks for gigabit here. Plex streams to 4 houses like a champ. Testing uhd files but my old 2500k might not be enough for audio transcodes.

Plex recommends a modern i7 if you're doing UHD streaming, and that's just for a single stream.

I'm hoping they or somebody Emby perhaps optimizes for more cores. I'm tempted to go AMD but Plex is always behind the curve since they focus on silly stuff other than home media these days. I'll have to look into it. Last I checked Plex and I think Emby use a thread or say one core for transcoding and don't efficiently split the workloads. Something to that effect. Basically more raw speed and single core performance. The fact that 99% of the time most of that transcode time is due to audio makes me think things could be done better.

Yup, high end 9th gen intel is the best bet currently due to the higher single core performance advantage intel still holds.

Awaiting on 150mbps Fatten or FTTP whichever comes first.

>australian shitposts now come faster
crikey

He he he bakaru Foxtel-san.

Attached: mane.png (679x455, 59K)

feels good man, but feels bad that my nbn is the same speed as yours but my 4g is 120Mb down / 50 up

might opt for 100mbps now

congrats on upgrading your shite internet to garbage internet.

Thanks user, one day we will beat Kenya

at least change your damn DNS

feels good. just upgraded from 50/50 last month.

the real question is how much are you paying?

im paying $50/month

Attached: Capture.jpg (1013x353, 30K)

€ 35 / month for FTTH 1000/100

$110/mo for 940/35

literally just called cause i found out they were offering 500/500 for the same price ($50) and got upgraded for free. lifes good.

I'm stuck with 5mbps down and 1mbps upload
I feel bad when I'm listed as a leacher because of my poor upload

5.5$/month for 100/100
